Well, welcome. I'm so excited to be here. I'm happy that you were able to join me today. A mishandle Reinhart and I am the new chief impact Officer at ASD. I just started about 2.5 months ago. So it's in fast and furious. And I have been in education for about 39 years. So I taught for 18 and I've been doing consulting, running research groups, doing keynotes, kinda stuff, and doing product development for bears as an ASCVD, it was an exciting opportunity because ASCVD is in transition right now. So we are in the process of moving to a digital first initiative where we are really transforming almost everything we do within the organization. So ASD, as a non-profit, bi-partisan organization, really is focused, is very mission-driven. So everything we do is around our mission, which is to empower educators to achieve excellence in learning, teaching, and leading. So that every child is healthy, engaged, supported, and challenged. And this is really critical because we happen probably the leading organization over the last few years to really amplify the work around her child. In our collaboration with unicef and CDC and many other organizations, we've been able to really focus on that with model and how we made the whole child initiative forward. We add several years of supporting materials research, as well as practical application materials that support that initiative. For those of you who don't know, we have over a 1131000 members of superintendents, principals, advocates, department, and add people. We have a 129 countries and we have 64 affiliate organizations that are international. So as you can see, we project a very powerful and a very unified voice to decision makers around the world. So because we'd have that much power, it's really critical for us to make sure that what we are amplifying, it's grounded in research and can make sure that we can achieve results. So the advocacy of what we shave your call, one of the things I wanted to share with you today is everything we do is grounded in that mission and in that research and advocacy that we are really committed to when we take a piece of research or practice that someone like gigantic t GHz or Carolina Tomlinson who has worked with us on, we actually make sure that that particular researcher, that knowledge is shared throughout all of our core products and services. So it's amplified through membership, it's amplified through our publications, our ideas, and our institutional offerings. What I'm going to show you here in a few minutes, just kind of what our processes so that you can begin to understand how we directly work with the researchers and authors and things that are out and then move it forward. I'm sure you recognize these names and faces, new 280 authors and researchers that we work with and collaborate on an ongoing basis. That's not to mention our emerging leaders that we work with. We have a new group of emerging leaders every single year, so that particular community has grown considerably. We have our policy and advocacy group, so we work across the United States and across international event. Policy and advocacy. So we have all of these different authors and researchers and areas out there that we touch on an ongoing basis. So we collaborate with these people, not just when we do a book that we collaborate with them as they do their research, we stay in touch to understand what are you doing in the classrooms? What are you learning? Where are you going next? Where do we need to come next? So they fire up the intercept as we move forward. We also then, as we work with our communities, our affinity groups, were able to, to hear what, what's happening on the ground. What are educators need a, and then we're able to mirror array those two things together. That's really critical for us at ASCVD. One of the things that we have found through our educational leadership and everything that we do is we want to make sure that we marry not just the research and the theory behind what we're presenting, but also what is the practical application. So you'll see that in everything we do, one of the most critical paths, as you'll see it is in our Educational Leadership magazine. And this is probably it is the keto flagship magazine that is out there today. 70 years of experience that this magazine, I think it is derby and 943. And we have a lot of different voices that are able were able to amplify through the magazine. I wanted to share one of the teachers the other day we get a lot of feedback, the feedback loop in place to hear from people. And one of the things that we, we heard the other day is whenever a reader say, Ed Leadership talks teacher to teacher with a research base. And I think that's critical because they know they can trust what we put out there. Because it has been well that it talked about, looked at, looked at the efficacy before we actually bring it to print. So not only in educational leadership, but we did the same thing when applications. So not only are we looking at those tried and true researchers that we know are out there like CNN and Nancy for I and Doug Fisher and all of those particular people. But we're also looking at other nibs out there that are doing new research. We go to, we attend conferences. We, we eat at some of the research work that our universities are doing. So we try to stay with a group of people who stays really abreast of what's happening in the research, what our author researcher saying. And then what are our people in the field saying as well? We take those three points and connect them together to come up with what is it we need to publish? What do we need to go to market with so that we really can help fulfill the mission that we have as a non-profit organization. One of the things that we've done as we moved into this transition is we've taken a look at how do we look at all of this content and research and material that's out there. And how do we kind of create a content framework that allows us to look at this research and content in an organized way and make sure that we're driving pieces of banner. So we've created us. Continuity, a topic framework that we're actually using throughout the organization, that everything we do from professional learning services to our publications, to email, to our blogs, all are in alignment and are tied through this springs. So you have equity and cultural competency, leadership and management, social emotional learning, curriculum instruction, technology and education. The whole child, the thing that we did that was kind of different also from what we've done in the past is we take a look at how do we take that research and the practical application of that research. And how do we make sure that it speaks to the persona of our educators? Because we have school and district leaders, sometimes similar needs, sometimes a little bit different, but we can pretty much take a look at that persona and make sure that the content and the research is research supporting that content actually fits their needs. Then we can also take that same content and that same research and figure out how does that speak to a teacher, a classroom teacher leader. One of the things that we have waited on as an organization is the fact that we, we specifically want to speak with our teacher leaders, classroom teachers. As teacher leaders. We have a lot of teachers who are fabulous in the classroom, who want to have a more of a leadership role in their schools there, communities, their districts, across the board. But then it will leave the classroom, which is great because we don't want them delayed the class so that we want to speak to them about the role that they can take as classroom teachers and help them in those particular areas. So the leadership component at everything we do is really critical as we made Thread. One of the things, as we looked at our content, I wanted to share with you how we Tet something that we think will resonate with people based on their research they were hearing and what we're hearing from our social group or community groups. And we take it through a content cycle. So the first thing we're going to do is really take a look at social media and online content. And take a look at what is the feedback we're getting, how effective has that application of what we share been inserted? So we look at that feedback loop there, and then we take it and make adjustments and move it into her EEO addition, where we highlight research based content, where we actually, you've tweaked it sound, we know what the advocacy is, and then we get feedback again. We may tweak that again based on the feedback and the information we're getting, not just from the field, from our researchers. Move in and Tom multimedia platform then looking at video, looking at newsletters. We then take it, customize it to make sure that we're looking at a toolkit or QR G, a quick reference guide or something like that. And then also killing, move it into a book to give you an idea of what our conscience cycle is, you can see how we lose it through the cycle, looking at what is the feedback and making adjustments as we go. We're delivering not just the research base, but the practical application of that research face. I just thought I'd show you very quickly. These are just some of the different content pieces that we consider are important for us to look at as we move through that content cycle. So SEM or a limb themselves to on-demand courses. I'm lend themselves to e-books and different thing. We kinda take a look at that and see what is the best way to deliver this to our, to our constituents. The other thing that we're doing that is a shift for us is we're taking our content that we have today and were repackaging, repurposing it to really meet the new research around adult learning theory. We know that adults today simply don't have a whole lot of time. And so we are developing bite-size learning, not just in our online work that we have and content that we have, but also in our virtual professional learning. So we've created a 148 modules that also follow this, a new adult learning theory where we chopped the content, aligned them to those topics that we talked about and created a 148 modules that actually in compass knowledge acquisition followed by the application and coaching where we're just launching these. But this is around the fact that we really want to take and use the research, what's working for people today and utilize it in different ways. Anything just to share very quickly is our work in whole child has really expanded. So not only are we just finished a podcast with unicef on this fact, I am working with the city. We've actually created a package is not just that we can deliver virtual late or on-site to our customers and a district and school level that we have our online courses now to help support the whole child initiative, as well as some of those tools that are free and some of them that are, you know, pay for a bit very, very minimal expenses on that. So important for us to realize that we've taken the research not just of educators, but looking at the research across the board, safety and everything. Combine that as we move forward. So to leave you with today, I wanted to share with you one of our primary tools that we use in everything we did official learning is our problem AT Practice Initiative. And so we look at the key principles, the whole child tenants and reflection questions. And I preview both our key ORG, which typically is not free, and then our problem of practice template for all of you, you can download these and begin to look at how we begin to work with districts to think about, you know, teachers, what is the problem that you're really trying to dress? Let's do a root cause analysis of it. What is that theory of action? How are we going to begin to address this? So this is kind of resonates. This, this action planner is really this logic model is what we typically use throughout the organization as we move forward, it activate, and in everything we do as we use equity is a touring wine. So hopefully today you learned a little bit more about how we're using your research. And if you have questions, please connect with us in some way, shape, or form. I'd love to chat with you and learn a little bit more about what you guys are doing.
