Joshua Shaver is a Senior Partner and Wealth Manager at Diamond State Financial Group. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Lerner College of Business and Economics at University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
At the University of Delaware, Josh was involved with the Financial Managers Association, as well as a part of its Honor Society. His favorite class was Intro to Sales and Sales Management before there was a Sales Minor! Since joining Diamond State Financial Group in 2007, Josh has worked primarily with young professionals, business owners, and clients nearing retirement, helping them secure their financial future. As a Managing Director, he manages, trains, and mentors advisors in the early stages of their career. His favorite part about his role is his ability to be an educator and resource – whether it be to clients, advisors at the firm, or other partners in business.
During his personal and family time, he enjoys participating in charitable organizations, having volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, MS Society’s Bike to the Bay, the Nemours Fund for Children’s Health at Nemours/AI duPont Hospital for Children, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of DE. A native Delawarean, Josh now resides in Newark with his wife Jessica, sons Henry and Bennett, American Bulldog Samson, and Jack Russell Ellie. His hobbies include time with his wife and boys, Philadelphia sports, wine and craft beer, time at the beach on the pontoon boat, and enjoying good food with friends
