Hi, my name is Chelsea. I'm a junior Exercise Science major with minors in Public Health and Strengthen Conditioning from Veron, Connecticut. On campus, I'm involved the Blue Hen Leadership Program, where I'm at Tier three, working with non-profits and also a service leader, where I lead an alternative winter break program to Puerto Rico on disaster relief. I'm also a Student Alumni Ambassador where I get to organize really fun spirit events like iHeart UD, and Homecoming Spirit Day as well as network and facilitate the alumni and student interactions. Today I'm gonna be showing you inside Sharp Hall right here. This is one of the upper-classman residence halls here on the North Green. This building in particular is home to the upper-classman honors residence hall. So the way our building security works is your ID will let in to your building. So I cannot get into any other residence halls but since I do live here I just tapped my ID and the door opens. Welcome to my room. So this is where I have lived and I've lived in Sharp Hall for the past two years and I've loved every minute. All the wooden furniture you see is provided by the university. So you have the bed, the bed can be high if you choose to loft it or do bunk beds, as it can also be lower if you don't want to have the raised bed style. You have dresser, desk chair, and then you can bring your own microwave and frig. I don't have a microwave, I just go with the fridge. Or you can also rent that from the university. In this particular upper-class residence hall we do actually have closets rather than a bureau. Where in other rooms if you don't have a closet you have a bureau. So you also just gets a decorator your room and make it your own. I live here with my best friend and we are so proud of how cute we've made our room. But all of these pictures come from different friendships and experiences. This wall right here, is actually all from things I've done at UD. So it's just brings all the great experiences I have throughout my three years all range my home, ready to remember all the memory's everyday. So we are in the Sharp Hall laundry room. So we have washers and dryers available for you to use. And this as the same space. We also have kitchen available for all students as well. Here. We also have some lounge area in-between and so you can do some homework right next to where you're doing your laundry while you wait. Alright, so this is an honors upper-classman residence hall. As an upper-classman honors student and you have the option to choose to live here, it's not required but I absolutely love it. It's been great to have the honors community continue through my sophomore and junior year. And it's also just a fantastic place to live. We are right next to Main Street and the Green, so it literally takes me two minutes to get to class, less if I'm walking really fast which in the morning or it's just a great place to stop by in-between classes so the location can't be beat. So since this is the upper-classman residence hall, we do have special honors programming that happens. Senior fellows are honor students who put on different programming events. So these range from fun movie nights, pancakes often involving food and we'll also have different events, such as a voter registration events, helped you get absentee ballots, or different Sustainability Education Initiatives as well. That's it for me. Thank you so much for joining me on this tour of Sharp Residence Hall If you'd like to learn more about housing options at UD, you can check out the website. Thank you so much again for joining me and I hope to see you all here soon.

In this video, UD junior Chelsea Chatterton takes you on a tour of Sharp Hall, one of our upper-division residence halls on the North Green. Sharp is also where upper-division students in the Honors Program can choose to live. Sharp Hall has a lot to offer students with a location that can't be beat — just steps away from both Main Street and the Green.
