Start the recording. Oh, good. Thank you. Whoever did that. That's great. So yes, welcome everybody. It's now just gone. 12 noon. Friday, August the 20th. Wasn't to the stars mercury when local volume monthly meeting. I will I will go ahead and share the agenda live notes document now, just so that we're looking at the same shared information. So we have how to see things I'd like to cover today. Anyone is look further in the notes, we'll see that's quite a lot of prepopulated material. That's because there's a few governance issues. I think we need to start the ball rolling on for this semester so we can make the calculation be sustainable and compliant with the requirements of a federated science. Conservation law makes sense later on this meeting. So a couple of AA, NA and start with a short 1 first. I hadn't been somewhat sane valid question last month about where our document why we started a Google Drive that has publicly available document stress and W1. They say that build wavelength that you can see in the slide in the, in the link here that links to a hopefully transparently organized set of document, trust them. We will be including draft governance documents or talk about a little later on, and including minutes from previous meetings. Going back, I think about a year to this. So I recommend looking at that. So those of you who are wondering sort of what we've been up to in the collaboration. You can see information about that there. It also includes and talk resources is linearity or giving a talk. And you want to include your participation S and W, V. There are some resources that may help you as well. So you might find that useful. So I'm going to zoom down now and in the shared document to the prepopulated material and live notes. Because there's a fair amount I think it's good to make sure people to know about. So as I think everyone knows, we had evil Piano Project community workshop took place last, last week. So I have a few things I think people might find useful here will either call or Washington's later on. Before I say anything, I should say a really big thank you to everybody in this collaboration that participated and we'll meet and it was really great. I thought S and W All they had some good representation. I will all aspects lesson. We will be science. Have some representation of the meeting all the way from your local brown dwarfs out local volumes. So that was really good and say, I know that many people on this call or watching this later even went as far as helping to even proposing or running workshops, meetings. A big thank you to those people as well. A highly, highly incomplete list will include an a new Olson syrup. And he'd say, Jeff, that present yet the collaboration and the survey to answer three meeting. So thank you all very much for this and apologies. I've not mentioned for time. So the piece of debris was hugely parallel. Those lots and lots and lots of good stuff going on. If you register for the meeting, then you can see the the talk, the slides, the live notes at the meeting website, which is still up. And if you didn't subscribe to meet and talk with coordinate is still available at the ribbon observatory YouTube channel that I put a link for in the, in the notes here. I point out that channel is searchable. So you search a piece of w 20 2021 talks, you can see the torques. I think all of the sessions an hour. They got on that really quickly. So for the hydrosphere two weeks and want to learn everything that happened, you can, you can look at that. Putting in place at the table here a few examples of why for some of the highlights of people might want to look out for because they inform what happens next. I point out this is a highly incomplete less. So anybody on this on this call or who you saw the pizza, there'll be peaceful, free to add your own. This is just a list of things I thought would be useful. So tetrahedrons to look out for. But I think people on this call may find useful. We heard that the main operations for Ribbon and our expected to start April 2024 plus or minus about three months. That's the midpoints of the early. The late sort of contingencies for when main operations to do to start. At least according to the operations plenary that we saw at the, at the meeting. There's a few items of sort of the lamp have two main operations that I think people on this call will find interesting. The product, the project is interested in. Working with the community to health plans for the early science with me then to develop that. And that was defined at a meeting as being the science that one could do from the first six months of data or data with this one, I believe comes out 12 months after monopolies styles. And so there's a link in the notes here to the session that talked about this. And then this is document this LSST document, which has the evolving plans that the photos present-day southwest looking out for. The product is seeking community input for commissioning. There were a few possible observing strategies for how the commissioning observations would go. The various contingencies for sort of how well the construction continues and the integration of systems into the telescope and so on and so forth. Let us event for commissioning observations that you would like to say are due by October 1st, 2021, FAFSA deadlines coming up reasonably soon. So if you have an interest in commissioning observations, I recommend thinking about N3C began to possession to to to send somebody and say with the first as a reminder, our commission liaison, It's currently Mike rich of UCLA. So I recommend getting in touch with Mike. If you if you have a US my desk, and he can helps put you in touch with others and in the calculation, who are interested in that topic. That's pretty interesting. And there's a great session and they're at a piece WE showing all the great face progress is being made with the construction and commissioning. Service strategy is another area that had a useful announcement. A sudden, I'm sure you've heard now from several of our meetings. The project is moving ahead with it. It's plans to, to work out how to use the talents that with the community input. The set, the the SCLC which the committee that handles best. Lisa, preliminary preliminary recommendation at PCCW 2021 as baseline baseline survey, which you can read in this document that wavelength in the notes here. There are still many open questions on various aspects of the optimization. And I would say at the level of a few percent of the time, sort of how to optimize, for example, even filter balance. It's just certain parts of the strategy. So I do recommend reading that document. For more information. There will be a workshop and a CSE workshop later, but in the full light in November. To receive community feedback on baseline to the community, we have the 4, 2 to really sort of analyze the new baseline, formulate our response as a community and to sort of help the project work out how to, how to help us with a certain strategy. So I've linked in the notes here, the videos to the three sessions with PCCW about this service strategy. One was the session and we're still Kobe search announced baseline to service strategy was a session where the simulations team covered various open question still and what they need from the community. Service strategies three, that was led by Sarah Benito and her and her colleagues. And the community focused on the community issues about sort of about the silly strategy. So I do recommend looking at those sessions if that interests you. Okay. A few more things to watch out for. There was a crowded stellar field session organized by, by Max dollar and Mike rich. But we've heard of are lots of good progress in using LSST to analyze crowded stellar fields. Colonists later had a presentation that clarified the the projects intentions for credit field processing. And then we saw a nice talk by by EM Sullivan present fed some initial results from version I think 21 of the pipeline that works without crashing on crowd of fields. So I encourage anybody interested in stellar credit fields. So it's about, we heard, we also heard from some scientists map style or unmake bridge about some precursor program to use and that can help inform this. So, so the links there to the, to the session YouTube into the live notes. Okay, switching gears a little bit. There are a couple of funding opportunities that are open internationally, but I think many people on this call may find interesting that the big funding announcements at the pisa, WE was this new link program, standards for LSST, interdisciplinary network for collaboration and computing. And that has several aspects are designed to provide training for for both fists at, for software development and support to help several key signs areas for the LSST narrative. Does. I don't think there's a website out for that program yet, but the slides of this session are both linked to from the notes here. I point out that it doesn't who did a postdoctoral fellowship program? I believe they are looking to fund five postdocs per year. I recommend check and slides for confirmation of that number. But at least one of those postdocs will be international. So that, that may be of interest to many people in our collaboration, which is also quite internationally. A second funding options here that was discussed at Pc w, I think people on this call will find interesting is that paying for Astrophysics. So they're less than c program. That's a one-year program funded by the highs and the Simons Foundation, which has opened the members of TDS S and W V, that's us and the solar system's sides collaboration. We plan to talk about this in more detail during today's meeting, but in case we run out of time. So punchline is, please look at the program website for details and the deadline for the Kickstarter grant program for bar will be the end of September. That's coming up. And it's worth worth assertions and more. Okay? I think I have just a few more you may find interesting in-kind contributions. We heard it, the PC that we knew that there's a set of 39 in-kind contributions that have been sort of recommended within the project. Further developments. The negotiations for day two nights with those teams are apparently underway and those groups have been contacted. You can probably expect to see a list of the foods contributions later in the year. Apparently that less does exist, but there's still some more sort of information to be added to that before it can be released. So it's more information on that. I recommend looking at the operations plenary by Bob blood that is linked to from, from the nodes here. And I think paragon pointed out here, are contacts to in-kind contributions as paragram who has weighed in and taken notes there. So thank you for arrogance about okay, so that, that's a good thing to watch out for later in the year to learn which in-kind contribution groups were founded. Okay. I think I've said this verbally, but say it again. A big thank you to everybody who contributes. They've even the search bite. The extreme diversity of science LSC will allow, I thought was quite well represented there. I don't think there's a single channel today's research bytes, but if you search for weaving a search by 2021 in the VB in Observatory, a YouTube channel, you can find them there. And those are, those are well-worth alert, both for the science that can be done and for possible collaborators that you might be interested to work with. Okay. The, We heard that the x term of synergies, ideas, how would you use ribbon and other facility data to advance the science? That's also been making progress. We heard that the we've been Euclid data definitions product. I think that I've been working group is finishing it science-based plan. And is and it's best to present a report or paper later on this year. Siegel expect more requests for community and I would say over the next few months to six months on these issues. That's a good thing to watch out for. I didn't have time to put a note into this. Olympian do this for the meeting, but we'll try and pull in and afterwards. And then I see this just just two more issues. I think it's worth looking out for. One that we'll talk a bit more about later on today is this process of federation of the science collaborations with the movement observatory that has a couple of implications for S and W V. In the sense that we need to to have our governance documents, including the code of conduct and the chart there. We didn't really need to ratify those amongst our members. That's us. So that we can complete the process of making S and W V. And official federated science collaboration with the projects that, that's going to be happening this fall. So I recommend looking out for that. Yes. One at one of our anonymous help her note takers is entering and that there's a, there'll be a cool, There's a cool science pitches from or there was an out. I think we better. Thank you very much. Have you ever that is I assume that's either commute or giraffe, but thank you very much. Bring that leg in and advance. Alright, and then the final thing to look out for is that That's P-GW, which will be weaker eighth, 12th of August 2020 to an ambition for that meeting was for it to be in-person. So I didn't have any I didn't know that. I think that far out at the moment, but I do recommend keeping an eye on that, Dave. Pw for next week. So thank you, Jeff. So those are some of the some of the highlights, the pizza W and again, anybody who was at the meeting, I would encourage you, if you have something to add that you wish, the rest of the collaboration members would say, **** off, we'd have to add it to the shared document here. Okay. All right. So thank you all for your patience. That was that was a C. You can see the pKw was quite parallel. Now, lots of interesting things going on. I haven't mentioned another, some other interesting, interesting points, like the anti-racism workshop, which took place during the meeting. But by all means a great success and some great stuff going on in education and public outreach. But this gives you an idea of some of the, the issues to look out for in the next and the next few months. All right. Before we move into some other sort of business items that we wanted to cover. Are there any comments or questions anybody has about PCCW 21? But they were sending one to here. Okay. Not see anything. Thank you-all for listening. Let's move on and be the main items. So Federation process, as I indicated about what, 15 minutes a day, it was announced at the meeting that the project is moving forward with its process to sort of formerly codify what the project and the science collaborations can expect from each other. So the, the, the obligation devices that are provided the project with expertise on, on how to do good science. And then the obligations on a project to do things like provide the Slack channels and the gala town that we use for 100 days and, and, and so on and so forth. And so after quite a lot of wrangling, the ribbon observatories Federation charter for the science collaborations has been released and I encourage everyone to take a look at the document length and in the notes here, an idea of what those there's sort of rights and responsibilities. Actually, I was part of that process to ensure that our collaboration maintains its relationship with the ribbon observatory. At a level that includes the formal support, including including the communications channels. All the science collaborations were asked to request formal existence from the project. Aided a science cafe au lait felt the vibrations, requested this orbit, two of them will have food to food provisionally. Sm WTP is one of the two that has proved provisionally. And the next step that we now have to take is to to sort of formalize our governance documents so that we're compliant with federation. Chancer. And also frankly, to make that collaboration sustainable in the long-term, us, as our roles continued, can continue to develop. And so your sleeve friendly co-chairs for this collaboration have drafted three governance documents that we now have to verify with them, but it's nice to you during the fall. So we can then request for more formal formal inclusion with with your project. So I'm not going to go through those documents and its meeting. What I'm going to do is to point out the process by which we want to get these these governance documents ratified so that we can then request upgrade from provisional to official status with the wisdom even observatory. So this meeting, we in a form of view the members that these documents exist or where to find them. So you can see in the document here, we have a draft collaboration charter, a draft publication policy, and a draft code of conduct. In case it gets lost in the presentation, I do want to point out that once the Code of Conduct has been has been has been approved by the collaboration agreement. The Code of Conduct will be required for continued membership. It S and W LV. Now, there's nothing unreasonable in the code of conduct. Its issues like make sure you treat others with respect than they'd been at level astronomers. And more detail you can see in the document there. But just so that you know, once the code of conduct is ratified, everybody will be asked to stipulate that I'd read the code of conduct and they agreed to it for membership in the collaboration. So what's going to happen? This meeting, we we, the co-chairs tell you that the demanders these documents exist. Those documents will be opened to comments and edits by you knew the collaboration. And there'll be frozen against further edits at the end of this sort of always one month consultation period. So you'd have any changes to suggest. The best way is probably to to comment on the document. You can edit the document as well. And we can track changes in the document. But the idea is for is for the the the the issues and resolutions that are codified in this document and there's governance document. Documents should be ready to vote on before the next collaboration wide meetings. There'll be a, there's a one almost one month interval for for you to to read and comment on those documents. Then, at the next collaboration meeting, September 17, we will announce the the frozen versions of those three documents. And then electronic voting will open the following month. Let's say between the next S and W I'll be meeting. And the one after that, on October the 15th, electron and photon will take place. What that means is that we will serve it Google form that you can use to vote to approve or not to approve. And there was a notice at the bottom of the table here for a bit of information on how the votes, and we'll actually work. We've decided to go with a two-thirds majority of people that zone to to ratify or to not not ratify the government, the governance documents. Okay. And if all this is starting to sound like a department meeting, I don't blame you. Surveyed them will be open until the day before than the October collaboration meeting. Your three co-chairs will tally the votes before that meeting and we'll announce the results on that meeting. And then to them to happen. Either all three documents will be ratified and we can then take them forwards and we can request to the observatory to formally recognize us. Or one or more may not be approved by the process. If that happens, we'll review the documents to edits and do another Li votes on another sort of one month per, per block scheme. So once all that's done, once we have the three governance documents approved, then you're friendly co-chairs will request from the from from rubin. The S and W are there you get upgraded from provisional to official federation with the with the project. Just to remind everybody, once that process is happening. We will be contacting collaboration members again to ask everybody to use to stipulate that they have read and agree to abide by the code of conduct. And as I pointed out before, once that's ratified in which you can express, I hope they do animal for once that's ratified, your agreement to the Code of Conduct will be required for future membership and S and W hopefully. So that's the process we, we, we, we envisage having to, to try to get the to try to sort of doing awesome WEB governments up to date and in line with the collaboration chart so that you can see on the, on the first link there. And frankly, to make it sustainable over the, over the next 10 years and beyond. So that's the process we imagine. And our hope is that this gives everyone ample time to be material to think about it, to express your concerns. And then two, and then to help us fight. So a couple comments I'm seeing. One should just subpoena to which channel the WB members be contacted? Yes, great question. For something like this in which we're asking everybody for incurred on the documents. And if you're asking about the code of conduct, that too, we will use both the mailing list and the Slack channel so that everyone has at least, at least two chances. We will also be, if you're asking individuals, then that will be done. The ad that we've done, the way it works is if you say, hey, here's message to everybody. Now, here is the form that you fill in. When you fill in the form with an idea, you feel that there does that answer your question? Just subpoena. Yes. I'm a nine the mailing list and they begin your axis. There's the actin and they're going to conduct an action. Do you need to do? Yes, I say Navy, the code of conduct will members will be asked to ratify the Code of Conduct after the code of conduct has been approved for that process? I can't imagine not start until at least October. That'll happen after the collaboration has to prove that. Things. What does the phrase and document that has contributions from Brasilia asked an excellent question, which is what are the phase and document contains contributions different people, which when concert with each other. What do we vote on September 17th? That's an excellent question. I think the way to handle that is for yours is for the three code shows to make sure that they've gone through the document before we open it up for votes, for focusing to make sure those contradictions and resolve. So the point I think I'm getting from what you're asking in Brasilia is that we should perhaps during a deadline a little bit earlier, so that the three co-chairs have a chance to check for conflicts. So perhaps after this meeting, John Tobin and myself, and just make sure that we have a revised deadline for inputs that we agree on. And then we can update these notes to make sure that that's clear. Does that address your concern, the cilia? Yes. My main concern is exactly that. There should be eight. So that's someone, you know, go see the documents and tries to make a proposed new document, the new version that will be the one subjected to voting. So there should be the timeline should include some sometime for now. Systematization process. I think that's an excellent point. Yeah, Thank, thanks for suggesting that. Yeah, Just off top my head. I think we gave ourselves a week. The three of us co-chairs give ourselves a way to do that, but we will discuss and then, and then, and then announce. Once we have once we have decided to add another, that's a great point and thanks for bringing that up perfectly and had entered a comment, I think in the in the table here, what deadline for acceptance will be the Code of Conduct. Once we've asked everybody to ratify it, I don't think we've decided that yet. I think it's reasonable to give people at least a month, but I think the three of us co-chairs can decide that a little later on, once we've found one is riot gasoline, add clarify. My note about the existence of a deadline. It's at some point, we would want to be able to edit membership lists on the project level and on our communication channels? Yes. In fact, in fact, yes, that's right. And you just expose one of the good reasons for having this ratification process in the first place of the code of conduct because it gives us a chance to refresh the membership list anyway. Yeah. So I agree. We do want it we will want to have a deadline for this, but honestly, I don't think we've decided yet as co-chairs on how much How long as reasonable. Via that. That's a great point. Thank you for that sort of thing I'm getting from this discussion is that the three of us coach, should decide on these issues of how much buffer do we get people to edit and what will be the deadline? Then perhaps we should announce this timeline to the conservationists in a garden am less than my Slack. So why don't we do that? Paragon and John will panel and outs in this process a bit more formally by by email and by Slack. Okay, great. Are there any other questions about the process of how we get our governance formalized for federation with with the project. Okay, As a quick minute, EBU, We don't want to get into this, but at so I know that for for signing up to a code of conduct whether is potentially legal issues. Right. So someone commit something that's that's a legal offence. Do we, do we have a way in which basically the some WWL, the leadership who would win, unwittingly expose themselves to, to some sort of legal jeopardy is, as I bring this up, because in another collaboration, men and this guy was told by, by word that I could not serve on essentially what what Pope would have been an ethics task force because it could expose or two to legal issues. And this may be an issue for others as well. I wonder if by federal rating with what the Rubin science collaborations, that essentially they Ruben takes on the any risk of that so that we don't have to worry about it. I don't know if this is has been thought about and and and drafting and and sort of managing the co-dependent. I can say that we've not thought through at that level of detail yet. When drafting the code of conduct that you see linked to from the document. And that's an important thing to think through. One of the ways that we hope to try to address that is honestly by experience of, of, of the other signs collaboration to find out how they resolve this problem. And so I think that's a great, it's a great candidate for for us as a corporation to, to answer as part of the edit process. But you're friendly co-chairs will be, will be helping to try to solve that through clay. Right. So as you pointed out, so basically none of us be the position of essentially running a bit, basically being Ethics Committee. But it does not transmit minute. I think The them right in bringing lawyers and, and such into this can, can really be you can get yourself in a big rat's nest. And so it's a bike. Yeah, I guess the question is, and I agree that that, hey, having the content click on that is really important. End. And it's a good thing. I guess the sticky thing is if they are real issues, kind of I guess are you prepared for for how to handle them? But I think at the moment the honest answer is no because we haven't, we haven't developed the kind of combat quite at that level. The code of conduct commonly indicates that there will be an ethics panel with the scope of of receiving any any complaints made of of other rest. And w'll be a man might feel that they've been subject to violation of the code of conduct. I don't have at my fingertips what the what it currently says in the code of conduct about what then happens, sort of how bravely. And so is that an ethics panel that's internal to each Science Collaboration or sets were federated. Does the project have one? Ethics deals with all the collaborations? Currently the ideas is first to have an internal ethics. I don't know what happens when it starts to infringe upon the sort of the, the wider ideas that might wait minute, contrary analysis, Rubens issues. But clearly this is an issue that we need to need to develop. It. I apologize somewhat for bringing it up. I think it's it's it's worth taking some events failure too much time on and I guess method a pithy answer before we move on to other things in the methane is the other larger collaborations are solve this problem without involving lawyers. Nice for us our next, okay. I think I think we can do the same. Excellent I by doing that, but you bring up a great point. I think we'll have to it's important to bear in mind that the possible scope of these can be quite a lot larger than before going out of it. Yeah. Yes. Thank you very much for bringing that issue up. And we'll we'll, we'll try. And I would say that if it turns out that that solve these problems requires us to extend the timeline without education. I think that's fine. I'll give it turns out on the September the 12th, let's say that we have to completely fundamentally irreconcilable contradictions positions for the ED, so it takes longer to dissolve them. I think that's fine. We want to make sure everybody votes and so they can stand next to London and Washington fence, so to speak. All right. Well, thank you. Thank you very much to be suggestions, everybody. And for the discussion to this. We're coming up on 15 minutes for the animals. There's a few things I do want to make sure that collaboration and there's no about before I think we adjourn. And everyone starts thinking about about with governance documents. And those are the, a bit more about this highs and assignments, funding opportunity. And now I'm going to say a few words about, about opportunities for you to members, to contribute to the smooth running the less than w will be. As I think you've heard last month, there's another new funding opportunity funded by the highs and simons foundation that's been really spearheaded by Rachel street at TBS and fed young case, which involves the S and W will be and solar system chairs as well. And that's this group for astrophysics. Let S and T program. This is a one-year program funded by, as I say, highs and assignments Foundation, which has the aim of sort of helping the three science collaborations do what they need to do so that their science and their communities. And b can be supported to enable best LSAT science. So it's kind of a, of a mutually cooperative thing between the communities and the, and the fan and the foundation. All with the aim of helping LSST you do good science by helping their electricity community. So there's, there's four big pillars for this. And I encourage everyone interested in look at the, the website to the program for some more detail about how this is going to work. One of the pillars is to fund all the app.js focus issue papers. I'm inserting strategy to cover publication charges. One is to help produce software tools, services, and training that are relevant to the science that we wanted to do in our collaborations. One is the host online workshops including, for example, helping people stand up gathered town to pick a random example for meetings that might occur sort of outside the project. But I think the one that's going to be of interest to most people. This collaboration is this Kickstarter glands, which is the idea to fund small grants or the level of, I think it's $20 thousand for individual groups than 30000 dollars for partnerships between multiple groups. But please check the website for correct details. To fund investigations that, that help community members do that silence. And there's really two things I want to point out about this. One of them is that the program has really flexible exam. You can see that program website for examples of the kind of things That's one. But one example might be if you have science that you want to do, but childcare needs, many have no time to do it. Then that might be a possible thing to, to seek funding for, for some sport to reduce your debt to pay for childcare, let's say for part of the weed science. Another might be funding to help. Have a workshop, let's say to help collaboration's between your, if you had an under-resourced university, people there and the research one university down the road. So I encourage you to check out the website. It has examples of some of the ideas that this is looking to fund. And they're very broad. So I do recommend checking out the program website. The other important thing I wanted to point out is that this is a one-year program, this academic year. So the program, I believe we'll finish end of June 2022. And that means we have to get things running pretty quickly. So the deadline for aftertaste for the Kickstarter grant program, for example, will be at the end of September. So that's coming up. So as often happens, the foundation funding, the, the overhead faction for these grants, for example, it's kept I think of the 50 and descend. And and so is your research office needs to know that now has a good chance, let them know that you're thinking of proposing for this. So please do look at that. And there will be some workshops plan to in the immediate future, September 8th and 9th, I believe, to help people brainstorm ideas and puzzles about just card and ask the question about whether the nascent panels, the science-related online workshops, or in other words, soft light years maybe to organize data challenges, to hash out times 4000 hours topics. I don't know if if there were plans from the program and I want to do that, but that's certainly something that people can propose for. I don't know that answers your question, Jeff, but that is something I'd recommend contacting the the the program to ask about. I was just curious whether anyone had floated any ideas yet. Basically, well, there was a workshop. You can see the link to the YouTube on the, on the, on the website. There was a workshop a couple of weeks ago about, about possible ideas. Wasn't creative brainstorming sessions. I don't in the breakaway myo is it that didn't come up? But it's totally possible, but that idea has been floated. I don't know if that helps or not to answer your question, but tertiary aids, I was just trying to get a feel for where where things stand right now, how far things have advanced. Thanks. So that's something I think that would be proposed by the end of September. So I recommended they interest you check out her workshop on the eighth, ninth September. Okay. So please keep an eye out for that. One thing I do want to point out is that the the panel that actually reviews these proposals will have members, the three science carbonation, TDS, S and W will the solar system. And we need to have someone from S and W V on the review panel said you're interested in participating as a reviewer of the funds. I recommend letting myself or John or power than I would point out that being a reviewer does not mean that you can't apply yourself. You just come with your own proposal, which I think wouldn't be a surprise to anybody on the call. Okay. So we're coming up on Telphusa to do wanna give people a few minutes to before their next month. And so I'll very quickly finish up the meter by pointing out a few leadership opportunities fast AND WE are, they. This is another cool volunteered and you interested to help us, to help us and help the community. Please do. Please do ask. And in fact, the cilia is an excellent point that the website is not up to date. You're absolutely right. Thank you for pointing that out. 11 of the many positions we are hoping to fill fluorescent, WE is indeed the website, so I'll quickly give it a little bit of background to possessions and why they're interesting. Part is part of this governance update process. There are a number of, of what you might call government's position that I feel we would like to fill threatened WE all be some of these will be defined in the charts there. But I think also just behind scenes. In terms of having a collaboration that can run themselves sustainably. We would like to have these positions filled. So I went to a few of them. When he develops and snap sensitive for diversity, equity and inclusion. And that person would serve on the panel Science Collaboration DEI committee. So if you're interested in that, please, please volunteer to the ethics panel, which we will be, I suppose a Bayesian over the next month. We think that at least two people are going to be needed, neither one of which could be a co-chair of the collaboration. So that would be able to contribute. We've been starting to get more requests membership the last year than we have in previous years. So while it's true that the co-chairs conserve as a Membership Committee, we'd be happier having an actual membership committee of people whose obligation it is to review membership applications as they come in. Therapy. Another excellent way to serve. Let's see, especially pointed out, yes, our website, is it needed up, Dave? And that's an excellent chance to contribute to help help help the information the the, the up-to-date. So if you're interested in participating in that, please do. Let us know. And I think it's true that asks the in-kind contributions start to ramp up as their negotiations with the project continued. It's going to be important to the conversation to have a clear understanding of sort of how those contributions will integrate with the work that we're doing. So we would like the standard committee to help review the in-kind contributions and their integration. Cognitive penciled in paragraph chair for that because he's currently are and kind of contribution representative. But that's another way to, to make a contribution. I would point out for any junior faculty on the call that are looking to serve it waits for community service. Business would be excellent ways to, to impress your colleagues with international community service that you're doing. It's probably your tenure portfolio. I'm running a bit low on time, so I'll just quickly point out a few of the other other positions that we would like to fill. For the, the collaboration. Several of the science working groups needed, need a co-chair or a charitable. And I've listed those in the document here. For the variable stars science working group. Your three co-chairs currently suggest that we may want to dissolve that science works. Place that it's chair with a liaison to TDS, which has several groups that work and values will stones. Now, what's going to happen next is that your teachers will contact that working wheelchair and its members to the extent that we have a list of who's in that group, That's another governance issue. And that will equal the given until the next meeting to respond. So if we don't have any response, we will just proceed with a plan to replace that working group with liaison to TDS. And see if you're watching this O'Hare invest something that's a terrible idea. Please get in touch with one of your co-chairs, myself, parabens, or John. So we can make sure that that working group is structured the way it can move forward. Okay? We need some liaisons to other science collaborations. We did have a couple of liaisons right now, but we would like to have the situations that we know who to talk to, to liaise with all of the other or the science collaborations. And I guess the most important point of this is that if you instead a volunteer, if any of the above loans please contact an S and W are the co-chair. We would like to get volunteers by the next meeting so that we can announce volunteers out by meeting. But as with all of these, the sooner we find out he's interested in serving the better, so we know how how to how to go forward. Okay. And was that i've I've run out of time, so thank you all very much for your for your attention both live and if you're Watson's later. As a reminder, all of the minutes for our recent meetings are available on the link that you see at the beginning of the document here. I see we have an idea for discuss internet speeds and then thank you very much. And just to final, final reminder, our next meeting will be Thursday. Thursday, Friday, September 1st. County is Friday, September 17th at 12 into and there's a link to that, Bill Campbell the night. So with that, thank you all very much for your attention and further suggestions during the discussion and for bringing up great points that we now need to discuss. And happy September, everybody. I hope you have a good month and see you on September. Thank you very much.
