Hello and welcome to re-energize live. My name is Jess paper and we're here at the tower at star face to face mask to mask, giving you a live broadcast of some department updates. So for the next hour we'll be doing quick about five minute interviews with some very important people on campus, starting with perhaps the most important person on campus, Ryan Schuller, our Assistant Director at employee health and well-being. And right here, what is up for this fall? This I just want to say this is a very cool events, so thank you very much for organizing. It's very cool to be here. It's actually see colleagues we haven't seen in a long time. I know even for someone like myself, I've been at UD for a very long time, but still to get those little questions answered that we haven't had to think about in the last 18 months. It has been a really great thing. So thank you all for organizing this. As far as employee health and well-being those for this fall, we've really tried to think strategically. Water employees meeting, coming back from this crazy last 18 months we've had so mental well-being is kind of first and foremost on our list, we understand that people are just in various states of, of either doing really well or needing some additional support right now. So a lot of our programs will be have some element of mental well-being. The future of working at UD campaign we play an integral role in so helping people try to navigate what does returning to the office to look like for your staff? For those who have been here the entire time, what does it look like as others are returning to their office? And how does that change the dynamic? So if, if any of you have questions, you know, where a resource for that for sure. Feature of working at u d website has some really cool tells you helped to manage their supervisor toolkit. And it's everything from the nuts and bolts of of policy to how do I manage, again, the well-being of my team? How do I ensure people are staying connected when summer home and summer in the office. So we tried to really think big picture with that supervisor toolkit. And then sort of under this larger strategy, you'll see most of our familiar well-being programs come back so, well, October will still exist. We have a new podcasts that we're starting, which we're really, really excited about. That should be really cool. Fitness classes are back both online and in person. The employee fitness center will be opening next week. Again, for anything in person, we're following the University's policy mask policy. Vaccinated or unvaccinated will still be required to wear a mask. When in the buildings. I took a yoga class with my mask on yesterday, it was just fine. I'm so bad, really good, Not so bad. And the other thing is the instructors are aware that people probably have not been super active with their mask on the entire time. So we can start a little bit slower. Do what you need to do. One thing that you will notice this this semester and then probably going forward is that we're going to have a good mix of virtual options plus in-person options. Think that the pandemic kind of forced us into this way, which has been a wonderful thing for us. We hear from employees across the university that they would love to go to that class, but they can't leave their desk for that long. They wish they could make that workshop. But now they have the opportunity to do that because a lot of our things will be virtual as well. And if they're not live-streamed, we have a brand. The catalog of on-demand workshops and classes on our website is yes. Amazing. Yes. Like 700 plus? Yep. So for any questions again, a lot of our programs will be familiar to people. Visit the website you del.edu slash well-being. You can click on the program's page and you'll see kind of everything that's happening this fall. Our big fall email will go out in the next week or so. So if you or not watching or forget, you can click right there and get to our program page from there as well. Beautiful. Yes, our most important is go to the website, subscribe to the e-mail list? Yes. And then just use us as a resource. If you have questions as an individual, if you have questions, how to navigate this team dynamic, we are more than willing to step in and support and kinda help you navigate. This is going to be very weird for people coming back. And we realized that. So whatever we can do to help support teams and individuals right now, we're happy to do so. It's great reminder, I'll figure it out together. Yeah. Yeah, I'm here for you. We're here. Yeah. Thank you, Ryan, you're walking. Oh, yeah. No problem. I'll hand off. This is Chris. Step on. Thank you. Ryan Christie Murray with environmental health and safety ergonomics program. Welcome. Thank you for being here. Thanks. And what can we expect for the fall? So just hasn't officially been announced, but I am the new director for grandma. Thank you. We've had a number of staffing changes, like a lot of departments have, but we're fully staff now. We are here to serve everybody the big things right now I know with people coming back to campus, we're really excited to have everybody back. Exciting time. And for those that haven't been hearing something differently. We are coordinating the hands out of the masks, hand sanitizers, and wipes. Okay. So if any departments D that we've reached out to businesses administrators within the department. So they have a link there's a link on our webpage to place orders for the material, okay. For employees and students, if a department is student-facing and they need mass, we have like the disposable masks. So if an office needs them so that they have them in case somebody shows that without one beautiful. But we also have the other supplies that will help coordinate getting those to the offices. So we have that available. It's linked on our website. If you have any questions about that. All of our programs are up and operational. One of the things, ergonomics, so that's when we have a table here. So if anybody's coming down today, they can actually visit with an Great, So she has some demonstrations. We also have information on our webpage. If you're either working from home stow, or if you're just coming back to the opposite, want to kind of reset your workstation. So people are moving into different workstations. We have a lot of materials available to help set up properly. You don't have any problems screen and again and can do consultations with you about your workstation is available virtually TO someone from home on a general anesthetic she could discuss with you. But again, she has some guidelines specific for home workplace setups as well. It almost feels like for folks who are doing hybrid work like myself, I have two offices now that I'm setting. Yeah, I think it's a little remodel of every king versus sounds really cool that you could sit on your couch or curl up in your favorite chair. Yeah. And then you realize after a day or two, your back doesn't really like man, there's a reason why you have that gesture site for the people that are in laboratory settings, either they've been here all along or they're back again. It's Welcome back to school. We got 11 new grad students coming in, new staff. So we want to make sure that the everybody takes a look at their their lab registration program there by a rap update those staff lists. Sure. Everyone's got their trainings. Yeah, It's a new year, new start. Let's get things going like that. So take this opportunity to check your your status, make sure everything's up to date. If you have questions about training or any needs in the lab, by all means, give us a call and we'll get that set up. We're here every day of the week. So it's housing safety, already going through office spaces to check AEDs in first aid, like all the necessary safety requirement. Yeah. All of our supplies. We actually came back June a year ago in a limited staff and then since June we've been fully staffed in the office. So yeah, the AAA these defibrillators have been checked, fire extinguishers are tracked and your faces. All that routine business, any waste pickups that you need. We're seeing those on a routine schedule as we have in this class. Thank you. We love to hear you guys are ready to go see African. We're trying to make sure everything seamless. It's exciting to see people back. Things may have been missed along the way if there's anything, any question, yeah. Let us know. Give us a call. We're happy to to help you out. Great. So phone or a website is the best way to get a hold of you get phone or main line does is man ate 430 like usual. Or our general e-mail address is DH safety. All one word at UDL. And on our admin staff can direct you to the right person excelling out with that easy-peasy. Yep. You're also try to get our safety committees as a new director or looking at what we've been doing. And obviously some of are things like safety committee meetings didn't really happen very much in the last year and a half. So we're going to try to work with the departments to get those up and operational again, whether they're virtual or whether they're in-person. Yeah, we'll be happy to do either method as we need to fix. Anything else you'd like to folks at home to know about before we know. It's exciting to be back on campus for those ones that have been here for a while. It's kind of old business. Yeah. I know for a lot of people it's new, it's exciting. There are questions and concerns and we'll work through it and the questions that promote because there are some different things. It's different way of doing business, but it's a good lawyer. Yeah. I think it's actually good for the future. Yeah, definitely. Thank you, Chris. There's so much. I appreciate your time. Thank you. Who do we have next? Trish. Thank you. Thank you for being here. It's always my pleasure. So this is Trish more with professional and continuing steady me. I love your mask, hooks and hours. Don't tell us what's going on for this fall. Well, a little bit of everything, honestly, I work with the Access Center. So what I do as an access it or a counselor is a resource and referral. I like to think goldmine for our employees, I can help people with information about undergraduate or graduate course is whether that be for earning a degree or whether you're singing classes for fun? I help with transcript evaluations. I help with, oh hey, I want to take a star and constellation bath ketose and they don't want to take that whereas you to learn how to use a telescope. That's I mean, I helps employees in particular use their fee waiver benefits for meaningful moments, as I said, for whether that's undergraduate or graduate courses. This is essential certificate program is also very popular with employees. The online Associate in Arts Degree Program was also very popular. We also do career counseling, Kirchhoff's law acceleration, so great to know. I administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as well as a strong interest inventory. So just saying, we, we help you, uh, figure out where they want to do it. Here's what we do. If, if an employee is interested in using there's tuition benefits, what is the best way to get started? Where do they go? The best way to get started is to email our office right now, which is just to access dash advise you del.edu. We are currently still working remotely. We will probably be opening back are all breathing in September. Okay. But right now the best way to schedule an appointment or to just touch base is to email that general access advise email inbox. Excellent. And through that, you can make appointment with me or another advisor or does ask questions in general, yeah, it has to get started. So I was a tour guide for the University back in the mid eighties. I feel like I'm just a grownup to yes. That's helping them figure out their way, by the way, at the University of Delaware and pyrite, reasonable, nice to have a face, a real person to help you along the way. That's great. Yeah. So I've been meeting with students, the phone or through Zoom and it had been wonderful. I can share my screen. I can help them navigate all these websites that you know, are out there, but don't know how to use that to advocate them properly. Zygote sees that. And lots of materials for yeah, I'll just hybrid's work. Excellent. Yeah. Well, anything else you'd like to folks at home to now, before I sign off, realized that I know that the university's website seems overwhelming with so much information I've been hearing that pretty much just evil than stopping up at my channel. And I understand how to use the filtering options to help drill down what it is that you're looking for. So don't be afraid to send that email to get started to get an appointment it because usually I come back, I meet with students within three or four business AS wow. As I said, your transcript evaluation is don't be afraid just to take a course and not that scary. I took my friend, I audited a German class. Is great. I don't I hadn't had a German class in 15 years just to get your brain working and objects railway and take courses, as I said, for the right purpose of not necessarily having to earn that grade. Yeah, just to take courses just for learning sake. Who's a wonderful opportunity? Yeah. It was amazing. Yeah. Well, thank you so much for being here with us. Yeah. So we have all kinds of people. There's also non-credit courses that I think another one of my colleagues will be talking to you later about not okay. That's excellent. Thank you much. You have them. We're fast. Thank you. Thank you. There you are. I'm sharing policy. She has unique only gets going, Gary. How's your day going so far so good. I think we're not getting any feedback, so I assume we're still broadcasting. Okay. The ER with nutrition counseling? Yes. Excellent. What's the folic and like for you? What's the fall looking like? What do you have planned for us? Well, I mean, it's year round. We do we provide nutrition counseling for the public and in a lot of VD, employees take advantage of the services because it's covered by insurance for the most part as long as it's medically necessary and we we see people for all conditions, so excellent. Yeah. So could you walk me through if an employee is interested in a counseling session, what does that look like? Start to finish. So if they're interested, at our table, we have we have fires that they can they can either call the phone number that's on there or just send an email to UD dash nutrition clinic at u del dot ego. It's as simple as that. Excellent, and it's on its own or webpage as well. And we we will get the patient registered and verify their insurance and then get them scheduled. See one of our dietitian, great. And these are these hour-long counseling sessions, 30 minutes. So in general, there an hour-long that's what we that's what we a lot for, especially for the initial some insurance plans cover a longer session. So if it's a more in depth situation or just a lot of things to cover. I'll often go longer. And then follow-up sessions can be shorter or or in an hour at length just depending on need and just personally, yeah. Its demise to a person's needs and right. Right. Hailey do live face-to-face sessions and telehealth banks. Insurance companies are covering telehealth for at least the rest of this year, hopefully beyond that now, it's one of those silver linings to COVID is this increased access to care has really been great, right? It sticks well, hopefully well, because there's there they're not really saying how long it'll be covered, so we just have to keep checking, hey, take your image while we can. Yes, I'll say to the world. But it really works well for people because then they don't have to add in commute time. You do it from their home, from the workplace, from a car while other daughters at soccer practice. So it's very convenient. Yeah. Excellent. Do you have some examples of the types of conditions and yeah. Yeah. So I my areas are mostly weight management, eating disorders, disordered eating and sports nutrition. And I also see people for like high cholesterol, high hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes. But we also give them also do a lot of wide range of services for people with gastrointestinal illness, food allergies. So those are some of the some of the yeah. And then a typical session just to give you an idea, an initial session that the initial session is about half. Gathering information about medical history, typical food intake patterns, food preferences, lifestyle, patient goals, what they, what they want to achieve. And then the rest of it is. And we also will do a dietary analysis. So we'll get at least a day or up to three days of the patients typical eating patterns. And then we will analyze it and given feedback like a slant, are you getting enough calories? Are you getting in or getting to me the colors and you're getting enough calcium, are you getting enough iron? So we really give a lot of good valuable information to help them improve their diet just to make sure they're getting the nutrition they need. Excellent. And then I can put together a plan, scary time with a new diagnosis. So to have a professional to guide you through what is really the right thing for Yale is a really great benefit. It is. And then we, of course, we tailor it to the, to the patient. That's how we gather so much information. You'll find out what their food preferences are, what their lifestyle is like, what, what, what times do they have available to eat? Huh? Hey, you know, some people don't have a lunch break sharing. Some people have to work through dinner and Kanye two, so we customize a plan based on that person's lifestyle. Excellent. There's no one-size-fits-all. I do. I lost. One of my favorite things is to debunk myths. Like I, you know, there's just so much misinformation out there. And so one of my favorite things to do is to help educate people and just really tell them what's evidence-based? Siam, Yes, Excellent In the best approach. But anything else you would like to tell the people at home about nutrition counseling before we sign off? Well, yeah, I think a lot of people are not aware that insurance yearly covers our services. It's especially with our health benefits here at UD. It's it's typically covered. Yeah. So I think people should just take advantage of this. So a no cost benefit and tailored, customized to you exactly. To get started, we can go to the CHS clinics, websites and and find your contact for that is correct. Excellent. Well, thank you so much for your time. Innovation can be in here. We'll flip to our knee around. Appreciate it. Thank you. From the ****. Stay extra extra special guest, my spouse Yes, here and some water and I have my mask. Or even just talk, talk, talk, talk, talking. Thank you. That's very kind. But as so, tell us about the pant pockets. Who are you? What do you do? Pyrococcus is a group that provides support, advocacy, education around LGBTQ Plus issues and support for the LGBTQ plus community on campus. So We're the fun, the fungi are very, very fine. Also like professionally a great resource. I even so we were having a conversation in the car about this event and you said, Hey, why don't we have our pronouns honor yet occurs like that is something I should be thinking about but did not sell. Yeah. Can you talk about that? Yeah. I think that's kinda the advocacy work that we plan to implement a little bit more of working with different offices on campus who might one to learn a little bit more about how they can be more inclusive around gender and sexuality identity issues. Different things like maybe offering different trainings and just hosting conversations. I think people sometimes are hesitant to talk about these kinds of things. And we're here to, to help support people through thinking about identity and and just being open and inclusive in that way. That's great. Yeah. Okay. Tell me about the fun stuff. We have lots of fun. So we do things like trivia nights and we've done that successfully on Zoom for the past COVID year and a half? Yeah. Do you know yet if you'll have in-person events, I think we're mostly going to be on Zoom, at least to start and we'll have to see what happens. Delta, but yeah, so we'll do things like trivia nights. We do happy hours, but they're also virtual. So, you know, it's beverage of your choice. Social hour might be a more appropriate time. And we are doing a couple fun things that are a little, require a little bit more work. But streaming Club, which is going to be film and TV, so will all sort of watch an episode of something or a film that has a clear focus and then we'll have a discussion about it. Same thing with a book club. Where we're starting a book club which is going to be led by one of our caucus members whose faculty in the psych department. And so she's going to host discussions about different queer readings. Excellent. Yeah. So your group is open to all employees, faculty and staff and graduate students, right? Yeah. So are the graduate student group is pretty interesting. We we kind of successfully incubated a grad student in sort of like sub caucus subcommittee this past year. And out of that, they've started to grow and develop and they have actually develop their own GSL, so grad student organization. But we are still working really pretty closely in tandem with them to make sure they're supported and co-sponsoring events, all that kinda stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I think just to have safe space and a place for community building on campus. I know it's so important for me and the work that you're doing for the mental health like Ryan was saying before of of the UT community is really great to have here. Yeah. If employees are interested in joining, where do they go? What do they do? They could e-mail me my e-mail addresses, ie our OH, WE uw.edu, euro. Or they could go to our website. We do have our own site, but you could just Google you don't pride caucus and you'll get there. I'm warehoused in equity and inclusion. So you could go through their website and find us. Or if you're here today, you could stop at our table and we have information yet, so excellent. Yeah. Anything else you want the people to now about pride Caucus? There's one other thing that we are trying to work on implementing this fall, which would be sort of a support group for either parents of queer youth or queer parents. So some aspect of queer parenting will be built into that. And we're working right now with the counseling center on finding somebody who could facilitate those kinds of discussions. But I know that more and more kids are starting to identify as part of the queer community. They feel more comfortable doing so. So I think it's really important for us to have that kind of conversation she has in place, just to have people to talk to you about. Yeah. Yeah. I understand what you're going through. Yeah, exactly. That's great. Yeah. Well, thank you and thank you for sharing your time. No problem. Good luck with the rest of lighter vein. Hi. Hello. Hi. How are you today? I'm wonderful. I'm great. Thank you for being here. Yes. So the coaching clinic yes. Fall we've had some conversations about what's going on. Can give the folks at home a little update. Yes. So it's a clinical health coaching Research and Training Center. We do a lot of things. We are clinical health coaches. We instruct new clinical health coaches. We run research through where we use clinical health coaches as part of interventions. And then we're also a service in the community. So we can run programmatically programs where we have clinical health coaches working with people, members of the community, Great. So a far reach. And right now for the fall, what we're looking at two main things in terms of what employees can expect from the health coaching clinic. And one is the a new program which is aligning nutrition, exercise, and well-being. We've run this for probably five years now. And so what that is, it's a group coaching situation where we have 20 people at the most in a group. We use clinical health coaches. We have registered dietitian nutritionist, and we also have exercise physiologists involved in the program. Excellent. What we do is it six sessions of weekly meetings on Wednesdays from five to six. And in those sessions we raise awareness. We educate and we also spend time talking about concerns that people have in terms of where they want to go there and improving their health outcomes. Most people come in because they're like, I want to move the needle a little bit. Yeah. Whether it's sleep, whether it's nutrition, whether it's physical activity. We touch on all of those things. After those six weeks, what we do is we use our practicum health coaching students who are master level students who have passed all the coursework or in their practicum situation and there are their experience. And then they work individually with those same group coaching participants, but one-on-one, That's from two to four session. Excellent. That's a new starts in September. It's limited enrollment. So if anyone's interested, they lead to let us know asap. Um, because we're brought about halfway full now. Great. Yeah. So that's one thing. And the other is we can do a one and done biometrics screen or a health screening. We call it like a health screen. One session or a health check. We can put them together. The bio-metric screen is a simple finger *****, gives us a lipid panel and also glucose. We look at our non fasting glucose, BMI, blood pressure. Yeah, get a snapshot of your health in terms of what your blood is telling us or what your body measurements are telling us. We can't we talk about that with the health coach. Neither. It's like, hey, we're doing great. Or an end. I'm doing great and I want to do a little bit more so you can talk to the health coach about that excellent. Or what you can do is say, You know what, there's some improvement that could be used or we could facilitate improvement or we could we could find resources for you referrals. We look within our UD clinics first, whether it's nurse manage primary care, they need a new PCP or it's I really need to talk to a registered dietitian nutritionist. And so we refer there or exercise physiology with the exercise counseling program. Great. So you look at all that, you really helping to coordinate the care of here your patients exactly. In a very complicated system? Yes. Yeah, it can be complicated, but it doesn't have to be Survey. Yep. Excellent. That's what the fall looks like for us. Guidance. So many good things. Yeah. I'm hearing a new program still has openings left. Go to the website to join up. Yes, you can do it that way. You can email us at health dash coaching HealthTap at u del.edu at it. Or you can call the clinic, which is 300 to a 31389, was very impressive memory. Yeah. Very good. Yeah. I love the new program that it is holistic. You're really focusing on the whole person. I know you're very passionate about mindfulness and connecting whole person to, to their goals and their mission. I've heard nothing but good thing now. I appreciate that. Yeah. Things I'm sure it well, yeah. Yeah. And then one-on-one nutrition coaching is still available, either virtual or in-person nutrition coaching for the nutrition cleaner, I'm sorry, health care jobs. Okay. But for health coaching, we can talk to people in terms of the best thing to do is this is to reach out and say, let's set up a telephonic inquiry. Would talk to a health coach. And in that space we get to really talk about what are, what's most important right now. Sometimes it's just exercise counseling, sometimes it's just an RD end or sometimes it's like I can't sleep. Yeah. Or or I'm just frustrated because my my lab work is is not where I want it to be and I just need some help moving the needle in the direction of positive health change. Then we can look at that and say, is this a group coaching situation? Is this a health screening situation? Is it's a health check situation. That's really the best way to go, but we will work with you in some capacity. Okay. Anything else? Folks at home should know? I just reach out. Yeah. You are usually defined. We'll get back to you. We're good communicator, yes. You are very good communicators. Will help you and meet you where you are. Great. Thank you so much for sharing. Hey, worst don't know about yeah. Yeah. And we're probably going to say we're addressing I think I'm doing well. Yeah. Put your step. Yeah. Remember as you go on, my day is going pretty good. So far, so good. I can't complain. So many medium place to come on. All right. Okay. So you're with Professional and Continuing Studies as well. We just talked to Trish about some opportunities. Absolutely have some information about non-credit options. Yes. So as you mentioned, Trish more is my counterpart over at PCS and she handles the employee education benefit for credit side, whether it's undergraduate credit or graduate side. My job is I'm the Director of non-credit programs, professional team studies, and we handle employee benefit on a non-credit side. And we offer program really wide range from healthcare to business. Do I teach a paralegal she test scrap, so even to drones. So the name that we pretty much okay. And most program are eligible either for employee whoever benefits which employee can take the course, a significant reduced cost, or they can take it at a significant discount. Excellent. So these are mostly or continuing education and professional development credit program. Exactly, Great, Exactly. Some of our courses, for example, the most popular one with eating play happen to be project management because everyone is doing projectized work here at UT. So we actually, the demand was so high a couple of years ago we actually launch project management for UT employees. Only. So interesting, It's offer joining lunchtime and we have not offer therefore allowed you to call the impact that we're hoping to bring that potentially back in spring of 2022. That's great. So you're able to really talk about UT specific policies and systems. Yes, try to incorporate as much as possible. However, the most that particular class is still based on the project management framework. I sat by PMI, which is a global organization for product that says project management standards. But hopefully we're hoping to partner with DPMO, which project management office here at UT to make the class more customized and more specific to our employees needs. So that when our employee needs to work with EDP, I'm all-day know what to do, how needy projects are handled and how to request schedule from start to finish. Next line, that is our goal. So it's in place, are interested in registering. Is there a deadline for fall on what where do they go, What do they do? Yeah. Excellent question. So so we actually have a table here today and anytime we can be reached via e-mail or telephone, employee can send in their fee waiver registration form to our non-credit register. Basically, you saw the program you want you indicate and we will let you know. It's kind of you submit your form and you wait until I see it as available. Once you see it is available, you'll be offered to you. And some of our program already full. Unfortunately for the fall such as on most popular like paralegal program, it's already full. So now completely with 26 students, which is great. But most of other program like project management, the regular project management and other Excel program are still available and they can tell the recitation formula, let us, let us know they're interested in and we can offer them a seat. Great, such a great benefit. And i now, I've talked to so many people who through the pandemic has really started to make more time for absolutely marine education and professional development investing in themselves. You have to invert. We're kind of trying to emerge out of this pandemic, trying to be stronger as we went into the pandemic. And we believe we have the program to really help everyone to reach different stages of their career. Yeah, for professional development purpose, most people are trying to upskill and reskill themselves, being innervated themselves to have a better skill or new skill here, whether you are try to, you know, looking for reclassification here IUD or move between departments. We have lots of program that really can help employee to reach their professional development goals. Our program are focused on short-term. So they're typically 14 weeks or less than that evening and weekend. So employee do not have to stop John the day to take our program and they can still have a work-life balance. Xoring, Wow, Is there anything else that we should now a bachelor programs before? I did want to mention that a lot of our employee have actually been asking or requesting our Excel program to be included in some sort of discount or whoever. So I'm happy to announce just that we made a decision recently to actually discount, to offer employee a 50 percent discount our Excel training, we have three lovely Excel from fundamental to advanced. That is very, very beneficial to people here. Yes, you can't learn Excel for free through Microsoft help. But some people will benefit more with a live instructor in person. And that's where we're, our classes are coming in. So I encourage everyone to explore what program we offer and we offer our program our price at different price points as well as significantly discounted from the public price x. So I encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity and there's still plenty of time to register for the fall if you wish to take advantage that is greater than 50 percent off as a scream at 0. And I agree, I think the benefit of having an instructor and also a cohort as their employees with you to bounce ideas and help each other out. Israelis have, well, thank you so much for your time today. Can check out that Excel program. Absolutely. Thank you very much. That's a great day, you as well. Again, very next meeting. Thank you. Any from parking services year, I'm sure a very popular person today. Everyone has questions about what's happening with parking in the fall. What always 0. So let's hear the update. What do it? Okay, So it's the biggest update I think I have for you is that Monday we get a new director or parking transportation. Boy, male Warner will be joining us and we have good things in store. I hope a few other new things this year, especially for employees, is that pre-tax payroll deductions are back. The law changed. So we're allowed to offer that again, which is awesome. So that's happening. And for another thing for employees is that employees making less than 35 thousand a year have a new option. They can get a discount on a red annual permanent they pay half price, which is nice, excellent. And that's to park here on this site, a key on South Campus or layered campus. Okay, But nights and weekends, they can park and other areas edges nice. And then we also have a new request for services for events departments that use validations or have events or request service vehicle passes all that. We have a new web form now request for services parking, and it takes care of all the financials and all through the approving process, which is awesome, excellent. And our last thing that I really want to announce and I'm excited about is the cans for sites program which is very popular, is when you can use non. What's the word? I'm sorry, Dan. You can get food items for parking citations. That is fair. That comes back this year. It's good. The Monday after Thanksgiving through the end of fall semester. Okay. So we miss that last year during COVID, but it's back this year. So to find cans, will there be announcements there just before the Thanksgiving holiday? We'll do announcements. Great. And you don't even need a citation. We generally do a food donation program. In addition to that, you're going to have a citation to donate food, non-perishable get rid. Okay. Yes. Button is right there. Yes. And then for this new benefit, the pre-tax benefit, what's the best way to go about enrolling? So any employee that had an auto renewed permit, which the majority of us do, they will be defaulted to alkynes. Otherwise, what you purchase your parking permit, you have a choice, pretax, post-tax, and you just select which one you choose. Obviously pre-tax, you're not paying tax on those dollars. And that's generally our recommendation. But again, I don't know. I'm not a tech specialists. So we have that the deadline for renewing parking passes for the fall semester has passed straight where we're in the middle of our registration period and you can buy parking at anytime. But for fall semester, we would like you to have it by September 1. September 1. That's when fall semester really begins wrapping up. Classes start on the 31st. So September 11, we'd like to see you have okay. Excellent. And is there a way to check if a pass has auto renewed? Yes. You can go onto our website. You del.edu slash permits. Sign in. And if you're parking permit under permits, view your permits. If your permit starts with the letter a, you're auto renew help it to me. Otherwise, it'll start with the fiscal year. So if you don't have an auto renew and you don't have a permit beginning with 22, then you don't have a new permit. Okay. Very good to know. So a is auto renew. A is auto renew and the others begin with the fiscal year. Could get going. I'm trying to think of questions that I have for I think you've got them all. Is there anything else you'd like folks to know? There isn't really I I think that it's going to be a great year. I think we're returning to campus students or returning to campus. I think it's exciting and I look forward to events happening again IS you miss that kind of activity on Canvas has passed. You guys. Excited. Yeah, so it's good to say and thank you to you and your teams for B and non campus as you keep an us all straightened out and we appreciate it. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. Have a great rest of the day or two. We'll see. Next, Kelly, we see coming up from information technology. Thank you for spending some time with us. How are you? Great. We've got lots of time so we can be chatty if you're like, Oh, okay. So information deck has been very busy, very busy chatting. Could you give us a little overview of what you all are working on? Well, right now, we're focusing on starting the new semester and we've got students about to come back in to campus, faculty getting ready to teach again. Our big focus right now is figuring out how to help faculty get ready for their classes in a classroom where the technology is different, it might be upgraded. And how to incorporate live Zoom classes into a class of students physically in the room with them. So that's a really big one right now. But worm, we're working, we're navigating that too right now. Yes, the d Yeah, absolutely, dear. Just horizon. We're zooming out to the world. Exactly. It's, I think it's great. We've got accessibility from our people at home, but certainly presents some challenges. A lot of challenges, Yeah, So we have websites available with instructions. Faculty can go to university Media Services and request a tour of the room that they're in ahead of time. And I highly recommend that any faculty teaching in a classroom, please go in as soon as possible. Check out the room, make sure you to the touch screen panel works. Make sure you know what cables you need to plug in, that sort of thing. It's very important to do that as early as possible because we are so busy if you find you need help, it might take us a day or so to get back to you. So, so please do those things as early as possible. And the other push, of course, is everybody coming back to their offices and they haven't use their equipment. And so it took me three days to get my desktop computer back up and running properly again. So everybody's kinda have that same problem, so please contact IT. There's ask IT. At u del.edu. Anyone who has any kind of problems can put in an email requests that way and get some help. Sometimes we can just write you back with the answer. Other times we might have to come take a look, but we're here to help. And the earlier somebody does something, the better chance they'll have a being prepared for classes, so excellent. Yeah. If someone finds that they need equipment or need an upgrade in their office is your teams. So a lot of that would be from their own offices. I would recommend contacting whoever the IT person is in their department first, a lot of college departments have someone dedicated to their own group. So start there. But again, ask IT can always be a big help. And anything related to classroom technology, they're going to need to go to either us at Academic Technology Services or university and media services. So Media Services will handle specific things in a classroom. We had ats. We have a virtual help desk that anyone can join on Zoom all day long. From 1830 to 430, we have Ids, we're calling them an instructional designers that can help a faculty member figure out how to incorporate specific assignment or a grade online or something along those lines with Canvas. Or if they want to use LockDown Browser or all those different programs that will help them teach their class in an online format. We're here for them and they can email us at ATS, dash info at u del.edu, or they can come to the virtual. Excellent. I use that virtual help desk helpdesk. See scoot your iodine in it with maybe 30 seconds I was talking one-on-one with you. Let the person and the main space know what you need help with. And if they can't help you, they will find the expert in that particular topic and you'll move into a breakout room in Zoom and we'll get you taken care of. And so were there were there all day? It's it's essentially the same thing we were doing in room 1, 16 Pearson home. But of course, March 2020, everything had to go virtual. So we figured out a way to make it happen for Zoom and great solution. And a lot of people have said they, they like that rather than coming back and live. So we are opening back up live again. We just did that this week, but it's by appointment only just because we are still dealing with personnel trying to figure out who's coming in when the forcing everyone to wear the mask is important, but it makes it difficult for us to work one-on-one with a person. So t I'm having trouble with and so so we're, we're sort of slowly coming back in. But if somebody really needs help, wants to sit down with one of our people with their laptops were happy to do that. We just ask for a couple days notice and an actual appointment so that we're prepared to make sure the right people are there for them, but we're keeping the virtual desk available and open, glad to hear. And yeah, it's, it's available for faculty and staff to come in and get whatever technology helping me. So I am hearing ask for help early. Get a tour and space. Yes. Instructors go take advantage. Yeah. Ask for help when you need it. That's such a great resource to early don't wait, think through what you need ahead of time. And don't panic, but also figure here to help. Don't panic. No one's allowed. Someone, someone will be there to give you a hand and things happen, just have a backup, kind of ready to go in case something doesn't work quite right, and just move along and try something else. We'll, we'll get to go and we're going to be okay. We're going to make it all the same, but yeah, that's right. Thank you, Stacy, I fishy everything you-all are doing wrong. Cause plugged in and move and along or try on, you do. Anything else you'd like people to know about it? Yeah. Thanks for talking. Witnessed We made it. I'll get rid of that. Okay. Publishing. Hold us together. Yeah. Thank you everyone for tuning in and listening. Stay with us. We are going to have some announcements from human resources and employee health and well-being on the future of working at Udi. And then we will be back with some more departments. At what time? One o'clock. 1 o'clock to 130. So stick around. Good afternoon. Good afternoon for all those who are joining us here on site in person, as well as those who are watching online. My name is dorsal Griffith, the ADP and human resources and I welcome you all here. Many of you have been at the university for a long time, but we've been away for over a year and a half though we've been continuing to work remotely or in some hybrid fashion. And we wanted to take a moment a day to sort of reintroduce people to things that are available at the university. We have great resources. Hopefully you all have been able to browse many of the tables. Many of us have online resources available as well. So you can still take a look at information there. Outside of the benefits table, we have a your code on our in a table where you can click on and look at many benefits that are available at the University of Delaware. So I just wanted to give a quick little welcome and thank you all for joining us today. Hopefully you will get as much information as possible and fills or re-energized to get started back on-site at some point here at the university. So without further ado, I will introduce to you because we do have a new Vice President for human Resources. She started with us on August first, and we look forward to many years with her and hearing some of the new visions and direction that she will take us on and her leadership will come to you. Melissa barred. Good afternoon, everyone. It's my pleasure to be here today at this event. When we were looking at the start of the year, last year, we thought that that would be a start of an academic year, unlike any that we had seen. And now I think we're moving into part two of that. I think that we're entering a semester that will be very different as well. But our hope that we'll be able to transition to a more normal year for our students as our primary goal. A little bit about myself, I've been in higher education, human resources since 2008. I've been at a couple of different universities. And also I've spent some time in the private sector and on campuses as well as system offices. And I'm very, very pleased to be here at the University of Delaware. I've in my orientation period and getting to know everyone in meeting with some great people and being a sponge, if you will, to just familiarize myself with the university. And I can already tell that everyone is so committed to the mission and why we're here. And that is for our students, we are going to enter uncharted territory for awhile. And I think if I could ask you to take away anything today, it would be to be flexible, adaptable, collaborative, offer suggestions, and be comfortable in the gray. Naturally, we'd like to have black and white guidelines and approaches to things and where it is in a time, in the world, in the country and at the university where it's just not black and white. It's ever changing. And we want to put the safety of our students, faculty, staff, administrators, and our campus community first. We're hoping that we can transition back to campus over the next few weeks. Those in student facing roles are already starting to do so. And some of the administrative areas have more of a presence on campus than we had before. And I would ask you to just really work with your supervisors and your areas on what your plans are there. We are offering a variety of resources in human resources to help with supervisors and employees as they determine what does this look like for us as we come back to campus, there is a toolkit on the website that has some great information. Your HR liaisons, the central HR office, we're all here to be partners because we know that this is going to be different and we admittedly don't have all the answers yet. But that's part of the beauty of change and something new. I'm personally committed to a flexible work area and flexible work arrangements that help employees balance their home life and their work life. I don't believe work life balance isn't necessarily attainable because I personally believe it's a work-life blend and end. And we have time now that we can really make that work. But it's going to change and it's going to be different. And we're going to work through a trial period over the next few months to see what hybrid work arrangements might look like in your area. Some positions may lend themselves to that more than others. That's okay. The work is what will start and ensuring our students have a, have a great start to the semester and a normal academic year is really the goal. Along with keeping our employees safe. With that, I just want to offer up again the appreciation for letting me be here today to meet all of you in the room and all of you online. And just reiterate, please be flexible, please be adaptable. Please be willing to ask questions and offer suggestions because those of you are, have a lot of information that will help us as we move forward and look at policies and protocols for what the new work life looks like. At UD. So with that, I will turn it over to Beth Finkel from employee health and well-being and she has some words to share with you as well. Thank you. Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you so much for being with us in person and for those that are with us online. My name is Beth Finkel. I'm the Director of employee health and well-being at the University of Delaware. We worked very closely with the Office of Human Resources. And you will see a lot of our services, tools, and offerings fall underneath the working at UD collaborative. Much of our strategy this year is going to be really focused on what Melissa just shared. We're looking at ways to take work and life and integrate them so that it makes sense for our employees and that we're keeping them well, healthy, happy, and fueled. But we're also taking care of our students and keeping the focus and the mission of the University of Delaware prioritized as well. Some of the things that you'll find us doing this year is working very closely with our supervisors, with our team leads and our, our leaders across campus. We're talking about things like skills, social awareness, internal awareness, Empathy, looking at really those skills to help them have these really crucial conversations on how we can continue to design work. So that we know employees are able to be their best and continue to bring their best to the University of Delaware. We will look at well-being in a different way and continue to keep its strategic in every conversation that we have. A lot of our programs will continue to be hybrid this year. We know that many of our employees have never left campus, right? So we need to be able to offer services to them. And we need to understand and provides what we need for them to be well, while they have been on campus this whole time, we understand that some employees will remain remote as well. So this hybrid approach is going to be something that we will continue to offer. We will be opening our fitness services, again, personal training, our employee fitness center. At the beginning of the semester, we have brought back in-person fitness classes, all the programs that you've come to know and love October. A lot of these things will continue to happen as well. Another big focus for us this year is really looking at the mental health piece. So we will be launching a mental health first aid training across campus for supervisors and our well-being ambassadors and another, a number of other pilot groups knowing that that is something that everybody is being touched by right now. And not that it's a new crisis at hand, but it's one that has been escalated and one that we have to pay special attention to. The other big focus for us is the future of working at Udi. And a lot of what Melissa shared, having people show up as collaborative and creative and courageous and get a little uncomfortable. But most importantly, be patient in the process and be able to talk and connect with one another at your team level with your colleagues. So that we can all understand what each other is dealing with and we can create the best work environment for everyone to be a part of. So if you need information on us, we continue to be at u del.edu slash well-being. We're working with your managers and your supervisors. So if you're having trouble getting those conversations started, please reach out to us because we're doing a number of customized department workshops were taking any opportunity to collect feedback and data across campus to advise this, this plan and this flexible work environment as well. So please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to support you each and every day. Thank you. Hello and welcome back to reenergized live. I'm just paper with employee health and well-being. We are at the tower at star with key kicking us off with some more department updates. Here is from athletics. Tell us what's going on this fall a sports. So we are so excited to be able to welcome fans back to our athletic events this fall. So we actually kick off our first regular season home game, home opener is tomorrow women's soccer playing at 07:00 PM. So either yeah, isn't somehow we would love to have you men's and women's soccer and field hockey and cross-country are free all the time. So we welcome you to come out. You can see those schedules at blue hands.com. We are also super excited to have volleyball and football back competing. And we will be able to welcome fancy both those events too. Those are both ticketed events and more information and blue hands.com and for football or home opener as our faculty staff appreciation gain. So we are offering discounts to UT faculty and staff to come on out to that game, to get started just $11. And you can visit blue hands.com backslash promotions to get all the info on how to access that offer and come out to the game. And we're just so excited to be back competing, having fans in the stands cheering honored. And football stadium looks a little bit different. So we have, we completed the brand new Whitney Athletic Center, which is a hub for our student athletes, has all of our health, sports medicine, sports performance, all that stuff, and then Academic Services, Career Readiness, all of that stuff, our student athletes in one place. And then we also have a brand new stadium club and a renovated stadium or West stands and West concourse, completely renovated. Looks brand new, looks awesome. It's going to be a wonderful experience for new fans to come on out. So we hope to see you there. Yes. And for employees to you have some space available to rent and book for meetings and conference? Sure, absolutely, yes. So we do have some new spaces in there. Obviously, you know, reach out to us to schedule. We have spaces available to rent as needed, but yeah, it's a beautiful new building and we encourage people to check it out and take advantage. We tested out our very first hybrid meeting, Yeah, there and it was beautiful and I have this really cool, a little camera called an owl. Yeah, It follows you around. You have this all set up and ready to go. It was like seamless, perfect, Perfect. Well, we hope you guys all come out and are able to support us this season. Or student athletes would love to have you in the sands cheering them on. And then again, a lot of opportunities for free events for the family and cool stuff going on. Awesome. So for employees, for paid tickets, go to the website. Yeah. Play discounts are already in there and we're yep. So gluons.com backslash promotions there you'll see where you can click to do your employee ticket discounts, schedules, and everything. All it blue hands.com, so all the info you need. Okay, cool. And then last question. Yeah. For games like this, Thursday at soccer game is free. Yes. Do I need my ID? We can just walk just walk in. Yep. And we have awesome stuff happening for employees at the soccer game tomorrow night as part of re-energize. So we hope you're able to calm, but we'll have some giveaways and balloon twisting and run games and stuff. So yes, it'll be a great time and even if you didn't register, you're welcome to come on out. We would love to see you there. Qia, anything else you want the people to now? I don't think so. Just go hand in hand thing you Thank you. Tony is often that array swap on our blue shoes right down here, I'll say, I'm great. Thank you for being here where all of your help raise. So the little blob is open right now, but we'll go through some changes with mass guidelines and checks. Can you give us like the most up to date in progress and we're currently on summer hours. Again, we're following the university CDC state guidelines. So masker required at all times inside unless in the pool or the shower. So fitness classes in the weight room need to wear the mask the entire time or hours. We're still summer, so we're Monday through Friday, ten AM to six PM. Saturdays ten to two. And all of that will switch when we get to fall. So we'll start at fall semester on Monday, August 30th. So our starting in fall will be we open six AM Monday through Friday. Monday through Thursday. We'll close that 11 PM. We open ten AM Saturday and Sunday, and then we close it non PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Yes, absolutely. Okay. I was just in yesterday and it was amazing without students and employees, if you need a work, he's got a little with the employee health and well-being fit the employee fitness center close down right now for faculty and staff definitely come on in and work out. The main fitness center is open and plenty of space for you. During our open hours tend to six. And then when the students come back and gets a little more crowded, or fitness center open lseek and hideaway. Absolutely. For fitness classes, signing up, registering. I have the wreck on my phone. I think that's easiest way. Namely, what are some other ways to sign up for class? So every everything is online. So it's just recreation dot u del.edu, which if you use the app, which we definitely encourage, it really just feeds back to that site. So it's our program, the fusion software that we use. The app directly links you in, CAS log in and you're in the system. But you can get to it through the website as well. I like TEA, that little announcements you get to sometimes go and add a class is changed. Yeah. Yeah, we get with the app, we have a push notification system. So for example, with the weather yesterday, we had a a water issue with the strength floor. So quick little quick little push notification Haidt, stressful or exposed. We have lightening with the pool. We can do some quick information push out, so it's very, very beneficial. So CrossFit classes, back on again to cross foot's going. We have our in-person fitness classes, CrossFit, personal training, everything is up and running. One thing I will say, we, all of our system and access is based through the ID system. So with the ending of summer classes last week, early move in, I think begins tomorrow. It system has switched over to fall data. Okay, so we're currently running on Fall data. So like an incoming freshmen that's early move in. They have access to the building already. Okay. So we've actually shifted all of our like, our CrossFit memberships and everything. So the fall memberships or lobbed a purchase now. Okay. And it gives you access for the last week or so summer as well. Okay. So get jump on that. Yeah, absolutely. Bonus time. Excellent. Anything else we need to know about recreation or the little bad? The biggest thing I'll say for, for faculty and staff, we have locker rooms. We rent lockers where you get $75 user wellness dollars. Or you can pay in cash if you've already gotten you all access membership, but you'll have a locker for the entire year? We have lockers available right now in or employee locker rooms that are on the main floor. Shower, so there's no excuse to come in. Yeah. You know, before worker at lunchtime, get a workout in, go to Locker, take a shower, head back to the office. Well, thank you Sarah. Time. Thanks for London and your corn whole bladder. So rewrite a2 if you come into a re-energize event. Thanks Dirac girl to fabulously. All right. Thanks. Yes, Have a great day. Christina is up next. Hi. How's your day going? It's going great. Great. Thank you for being here. So Christine is with nurse managed primary care here at star. So give us just a little update about what is available in place. So we are a full service primary care office. It's run by all nurse practitioners. We see people in the community as well as employees were not Student Health and really confuses us with Student Health. But we do see children ages 13 and up. We have almost adult vaccines. Some of them I don't carry, but some any other primary care, Some doesn't carry certain months either. We also do women's health visits. Okay. So we can we can do all that. We can write scripts for medication or if you need an X-ray or an MRI or it's a full fledged Primary Care Act. That's great. Yeah. We're located here on for convenience to the employees, but also some of the nursing students will rotate through our office and the nurse practitioner students do as well. But yeah, we also have a Parkinson's clinic. I didn't realize that. Yeah, which is nice. There's only one movement disorder specialist in the whole state of Delaware out. So we kind of try to fill that gap. It's through telehealth to two other movements, especially disorder specialists throughout the country. Okay. And we have patients that can't either can't get in with the other guy or for convenient reasons and stuff. So that's kinda nice and students get to learn a lot more dark and sad. And I love it just really feels like a hub of care. Everything is connected. You've got oh, yeah. Colin or coaches and yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We PTs, speech, health, coaching and nutrition and US yeah, it is. It's great. Like one-stop shopping. Yeah. So for employees, could you talk a little bit about annual physicals including women's visits? Is that something nurse manage primary care can do for folks? Yep. So if someone wanted to switch to us for us to be their primary care, they would just call our office and set up like a physical appointment. And we're right now we're scheduling, I don't know much. About six to eight weeks for a physical for a new appointment and new physical appointment. And then after that, then you're established in our office and you can come to us for sick visits or women's health or immunizations, whatever it is that you need. And same thing like, you know, if your husband or somebody's child needs a primary care, primary care's are hard to find in Delaware, so it's great that we have that it is great and I we worry and well-being industry that prevention has really taken aback at ease during the pandemic, we've pushed out our dentist visits and all of these are annual physical yeah. So we really do push preventative health and that's actually one of my roles at the nurse managed. So so if you are a patient with us, you may get a phone call from a tell me that your mammogram and we want to ask It's important work. So we do do that a lot. Yeah. Excellent. So convenient. It is very convenient. Yeah. We are open Monday through Friday, eight to four. Great. And you're doing telehealth right now too? We are. Yes. So with COVID, we actually didn't we didn't stop a beat. I mean, that the day they sent us home, next day we were set up for telehealth appointments with our patients. So we've continue that because if anybody does have any kind of symptoms, we certainly don't want them coming in the building. So we will set up a telehealth visit for them. Yeah. So that's worked out well. Anything else you would like people to know about here? No, I don't think so. We accept all the major insurances that that's a huge huge employees have plus sum. And that would just call our office or extension 3195. Okay. And they can set up an appointment to come in. Excellent. Well, thank you so much. I appreciate it. Thanks for joining today. Yeah. Thanks. Molly. Yeah. We have Mali from I have to read it off this library museums and press. Welcome. Thank you so much for having me. So you will have been on campus for awhile, right? The museums, people are taking care of collections and I'm throwing curve balls at you already. Perfectly fine. Not everybody on staff is back in the library, but our services had been up and running ever since March that we went home and the pandemic. So museums are not open yet, but they will be open starting in the fall. Great to everyone. So excellent. So what else? What do you have ready for us for this fall? Lots of virtual things. I know lots of virtual things, but we have workshops open to all staff gland. Those are half and half open and available virtual and in-person sign. We'll hybrid for very cool. Anything in particular workshops that we should know about that. Well, if you're interested in a grant information, there's a workshop on grants. There's some ArcGIS workshops. I can't remember all of them. But there are some, there are some great workshops available and that's one of the things that I work on around the year. Is the physical library space open if I wanted to come in and browse the stacks, could I do that? In? The stacks are are open now. They had been closed because we have a we have an arrangement with how do you trust for those who know what Hathi Trust is? But we had to close our stacks down so that we had access to e-books. We couldn't have due, due to copyright reasons. We didn't we couldn't have them available at that time. But the sex are open for browsing night. So in the library is open to students, faculty, staff, you just have to have a Udi one card right now. And for for the public, it will be open on September 7th. Okay. Great. So if I want if I knew a book that I needed, Can I reserve it and come pick it up? Is that a service that is available on the yes. You go to our del chi discovery and you look up the book that you want. If you know the title of the book, you can just type that in. And you can click on the Get this for me button. And you can click on that. And you will reserve that book and it can be take it'll be at the the Help Center for you. Excellent. I that is one of the things I miss most about campus being shut down is just being able to walk through the book. And you can actually go into the library and pick the book out yourself and look on the shelf and get the book if there are other books than you want. And then downstairs, all of the fun technology like the recording studios in renting out equipment, is that available now to it will be available for the fall. I don't know the exact date that it is open, but it will be available for the fall for students to reserve. You do have to reserve those rooms. So like we have a green wall and there's a sound studio. Okay. Yeah, music studio. This is a person, a selfish question. Where recording a podcast for employee well-being, can employees reserve that space as well? Do you know? I have reserve those spaces, so I assume that other people can reserve those as well. You can always use the Ask a Librarian if I'm giving pad and I certainly hope not. You can always use that service. Yeah. Ask questions. Great, great service. That we might be in there then how great is there anything else you would like us to know about? Library museums are press resources or opportunities. I do want to make sure that people know about the museums. We are the library museums and press. And there are three museums on campus. So there's one an old college when a mechanical hall, and there's one in penny Hall, the mineralogical museum. So please check those out if you have a chance. And we also have a great Special Collections Department. Cool. Do you know what the special collections on deal right now are? There is a political exhibit on view right now, I believe through the end of the year, but it's been on it's been on you for a while because there's a pandemic. Yeah, that's the one we have going right now. It's fascinating. So to check it, I can't wait. So glad we're back. Well, thank you. Molly. I really appreciate your time and all the work you all are doing to keep us informed and educated. All the torch. Thank you so much for having us. Yeah. We have we have Michael from Udi print team. How are you might go. I'm okay. How about yourself? Very cool. Calculator watch host and why? Thank you. I'm a little jealous. Yes, I had one when I was like seven and I lost it. I had to buy one again. So it's a I've come full circle. Great choice. So Michael, you're here at UT print team, have been using your services at tn for this event. He printed these very cool name and signs and we just learned through organizing this event that you can also print pen. You can print. Oh, yes, we did those sensors. Will that great. He said tell us what what I'll can Udi printing deal. I think really the question is, what can we do? If, you know, if you need something printed, if you can conceive of something that needs print on it, we can do it, but All that exciting. If you just need a large coffee job, you need done. And you don't want to stand in front your coffee or send it over to us. If you have a large male or you want to send out to 30000 students, you can send it to us and we're a full-service male male area as well. Yeah. I mean, it didn't Yeah. They're doing testing you. So if an employee needs something to be printed, what's the best way to go about requesting it? You just go to u del.edu slash printing and there's a little Order button and it'll walk you through the process. We have an online order portal. If you don't see what you need, you can always just email us and you can always just call us as well. And if you have a more complex job you want to work through and our technicians will walk through the process and tell you exactly what you need to know slang and that like expertise of what works, what doesn't is was so helpful for us. Well, thank you. I mean, that's one of the reasons why we try to why we love what we do is you send a job to print and everyone thinks it's just as simple as pressing print and it comes out, but that knowledge is learned. So you're coming to a technician that's actually been printing for, for 20 years, 30 years that it actually helps the process along. And we are actually your advocate for getting your, your actual idea out onto a printed in age. And it's appreciated. The office is open. Yes. Yes. We're up and we've been we've been we've been open since the beginning, actually, closer to weeks. We've been there ever since now. So we were on COVID hours, but starting this week, we're back to regular hours, so we're there are 730 to five Monday through Friday. Okay. Are you encouraging people to use the online portal instead of coming to the officer, can we come to the come to the office as well? We have a a quarantined front office area. So you're not actually face-to-face with one of our employees. So we can still maintain distances as need be. If you want to have a face-to-face conversation or we have a side conference room as well That's well ventilated that we can utilize as well. Anything else we should now that printing, just that were out there. I think. Besides what we just talked about and how easy we may things for you. I have one important aspect as everyone is so budget-conscious these days is our prices are significantly lower than any of the local commercial labs and even some of the national commercial prints. If you find a price that is lower than ours will just beat it out. Wow, we're not out there to make a profit, were employees of the university and we're here to help you bring your project delays. Excellent. This is a good refresher being remote and virtual. Most of us have not needed to print things for a long time, but printers not don't know. And there's always a need for nasa is it's very, it's very helpful in making a stand down. Look very perfect. Excellent. That's, that's what we'd like to do and that's what we're here for it. Cool. Well, thank you, Michael. Appreciate your time. Thank you. Do we I am, I guess Police. Mike. Thank you. I think we had gotten to be a fresh conversely, there you go. Yeah. I'm here with us from Disability Support Services. What's your role there? I am the Director of Disability Support Services and the ADA and 504 coordinator for the universe. And once so how are things going right now going to fall? There's very falsely like their business time, most busiest time throughout the year for us, we have a law students coming in, a lot of freshmen coming in, having appointments, getting academic accommodations. We also are doing housing accommodations for the students that have disabilities need some type of accommodation for housing. And normally this is all done ahead of time, but we have a lot of last minute requests come in. Yeah. Okay. So for our employees who are responsible for supporting other employees and supporting Students, is your office the place to go for consultation yet or our recommendations? Absolutely. We provide a lot of console with questions on how to administer and accommodation that's been approved or those kinds of things for the faculty and staff in particular. We work through all that. Depending on how the professor has their class setup. We'll work through all the different nuances. And it's very individualized because everything's different gap in terms of the employees. The if an employee has a disability and they need an accommodation, they would go through our office, me in particular. They would complete a request for employee accommodation form. They would do. And then their medical provider would complete a medical certification form. I then meet with that employee and their supervisor and we try to work out any accommodations that might be necessary. One thing I would say is any medical information is shared stays with me. It doesn't it's not shared with supervisors, not share with HR. So that safe a lot of people have that question. Yeah, I'm sure that's a fear. Yeah. You're disclosing information. So moving into hybrid work, flexible work, is there anything related to inclusion that supervisors, managers, co-workers should be aware of? That sort of a broad question that yeah, it is. I think the new HR Vice-President kind of nella on head. We have to be extremely flexible. There are some positions that lend themselves to a hybrid setup. There are some positions that lend themselves to be totally remote, some that do not. So I think one size does not fit all. And I think the employees and managers and supervisors just have to have a sensitivity. They don't have to share all that information. That's It's kinda like you kind of look at it like there's some HR information that you don't share with coworkers and things like that. This kind of falls in that bucket. Especially if somebody has an accommodation that look, you know, they're meeting all the work requirements of the department in the University of Delaware. So it's just one size doesn't fit all I guess is the best way I can. Thats good advice. Yeah. Flexible. Yeah. We always tell people be humans, aren't you? Yes. Yeah. Yes. I was talking about being empathetic. Yes. I or group ethnicity, the thickness. These are not always the case. Have overwork and on it. Because sometimes just make an awesome some people make an assumption because they can't visibly see a disability that Oh, you must not have one. So imply tell employees you don't have to share your medical information with anybody that you know, you just don't. But it's the invisible disabilities I think that caused the SAP for some people, the most difficult as you can understand the case, I can't see it. Yeah. Then you are grappling with people not believing you're right, you're right. You're trying to get out of where all those things are. Good to keep in mind for everyone as we move along. So reach out to your department. Yup. For helping consultation. Anything else you would like people to know? Yeah, that's the best thing to do if you have an even if the student is not registered with our office, we can still give guidance based on information you give us. There's a number of us in the office. They can offer help and assistance with that. And we're more than willing to collaborate with anybody across campus on whatever issue, anything disability related will come to our office, even the facilities type stuff also comes off and says how okay. X-ray. Well, thank you so much for your time and conversation. I think the message today is none of us are alone every journal. Just have to ask for how exactly. Right. Well, thank you. That's great. Thank you. Cannot rate over to Kali. Thank you all for tuning in and that's all we have for department updates today. Thank you for joining and have a great day.
