Good morning everybody. Today I'm going to be walking you through today. I'm like, You didn't know about it due Monday, February 2730 in the morning. Right now and walk to login. I'm going to tell you about other things like COVID, proportionately, taking what it's like to be a chemical engineer. And I think throughout today, I'm going to try to answer some of the really common questions that I get. It because of things like a path deal. And if everyone has to face the agenda, It's not just like potency than a word that you can't just show up whenever you want. Do you have to go online to like our new student portal and sign up for I'm given interval of time. We have two options on campus now. One of them is just like a dine in, but with limited seating and some extra precautions for the staff and students. And the gaps I'm going to do right now. Some kind of going to be in a very is to go up. So you just go and goes back to what you want. Yeah, it makes life a lot easier. It's definitely safe. And yeah. Well, good practice to showered up. And then I will take you guys to my first meeting of the day. So my name is Jackson. I'm a junior Chemical Engineering student here at UT. I'm an undergraduate research. I've been involved with recruiting for the department and for the Honors College for a couple of years now. I'm just going to be taking you through. Okay? So now I'm going to do a little bit of room thermostat concept to whatever you want. Which I really appreciate it because I like color rims and notes because it's a double. They left all the extra furniture in here. So like most of these are empty just because I don't have very much stuff. But you get that nice boardrooms. Every employer shoot my clothes and stuff. I have all my like Nest faster. And then there's a nice big like different space here. So I've got some plants in the charter. And then one of my old research posters, a Weird Al Yankovic flag, and then periodic table. And then I've combined the desk, intellect, mega desk. So printer's set up. I've got my monitors and actually just started snowing. So I hope they don't cause campus today. So everyone who's living in the residence halls on campus gifts get a weekly COVID tests. This is just like, sort of like a rapid like screening sort of thing. And it helps you track where issues are and make sure that everybody's staying safe. Okay. So I move on to hop into my next couple of meetings for the day. So first-order business, I'm meeting with my lab group and we're going to be doing simulations. So the College of Engineering here at UT, there's pieces of software that lets you run some of the like. Really expensive to license engineering software that you need from your own computer. So we're going to be getting on that on his uncle and just making sure that we all understand like the process during that out. And then after that, I'm going to be running my own office hours for an Introduction to Computer Science class. So I'm a TA in that course, so I'm run lab sections and I sit in on lectures and answer questions. And then as soon as that ends, I'm going to be growing on a range, I think because it started raining and sprinting two main campus. About 50 minutes if my office hours and have my history class on the history of conflict in Palestine. After that, I'm going to be running right back here for my parallel programming class. And, and that's about it for my meetings for the day. All right, everybody. I just wrapped up if I parallel programming, but we're going to run and get dinner. Theater. The Washington about chemical engineering that I'll answer today is, do you have free time? And the answer is of course, yes. You might have a little bit less free time than some of your friends. But what's important about chemical engineering has taking a break from it every once in a while. But you spend all your time doing nothing but chemistry and math, you go crazy. So it's important to unwind with friends. Make sure you're always getting, bringing other day. Maybe you go exercise, that kind of thing. So yeah, engineering. You need to stay mentally healthy in order to succeed in the major. With that said, I hope you've enjoyed today. I enjoyed making it. Yeah. Go go hands.
