The University of Delaware welcomed alum and guest speaker: Andrew Staub, M.A., APR, Communications Manager, Rite Aid Healthy Futures. Andrew discussed the demands of practitioners who work in nonprofit communications and shared advice on how to embrace a generalist's mentality, keep strategic focus, and invest in yourself.
A journalist-turned-PR-pro, Strategic Communication alum Andrew Staub (AS22M) believes in the power of storytelling to drive positive change. Fifteen years in the communications industry has led him to his current role as communications manager for Rite Aid Healthy Futures, a nonprofit committed to improving the lives of children through investments and partnerships that build healthier, more equitable neighborhoods. Before Healthy Futures, Staub worked for nonprofits in the economic development, tourism and journalism sectors. Staub recently earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of American (PRSA). He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in leadership for organizations from the University of Dayton.
