The University of Delaware welcomed Jennifer Acord, APR, Director of Communications for the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science. Jennifer discussed the organization's "Museum Metamorphosis" rebranding before and during a 17-month-closure for renovations, and the reopening strategy earlier in 2022.
Jennifer Acord, APR, has been the communications director at the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science since 2015 as and considers it her dream job. She has more than 25 years of experience in the communications field, including work at non-profit organizations, government agencies, and a Fortune 500 corporation, and earned accreditation in public relations through the Public Relations Society of America. She graduated from James Madison University with a double major in communications and history. As part of the renovations, Jennifer worked on the renovation team as well as managing the public relations and marketing aspects of promoting the new museum. “Other duties as assigned” was her personal motto for the project.
