The University of Delaware welcomed guest speaker, Darcel Walker, M.A., APR, the Director of Public Affairs at CaroMont Health in the Charlotte Metro Area. Darcel walked attendees through a case study of how the hospital managed internal and external communications during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having previously held the positions of Digital Communications Specialist and Manager, Marketing & Communications, Darcel manages marketing and communications, creative services and internal communications. During her spare time, Darcel is an adjunct instructor at Central Piedmont Community College, where she teaches public speaking. She serves on the board of the Charlotte area alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, as the historian and chair of the Public Relations & Marketing Committee.
