In this recording, we're going to learn how to add social media icons or any other icon you want to add. Your site will start with social media by visiting a website called simple icons dot point. I'm going to add the Instagram logo to my website design. So I'm just going to simply search for Instagram. I'm going to download something that is called an SVG file. Downloaded right to my desktop. I already have a couple downloaded, so that's why it has the two here. But it is going to automatically download as an SVG file a fancy shapefiles. So it's basically a custom shape that we could change the size and color out. But it's a vector file, meaning it's not made out of pixels and we don't have to worry about losing resolution. So I'm going to place this very similarly to how I did this picture by clicking the drop-down next to the sheep, clicking Place Image. And I'm going to find where I just downloaded that's here, which is my desktop. Select it. And again, I'm going to drop it into some dead space so that I don't accidentally place it inside of them. Ask I'd like to do then is drag it onto my frame exactly where I want it. I want it on top of this bar, but as you can see, it is black, so it's blending in. Zoom in. And you can notice how in the layers panel, these SVG files automatically created frame. Totally fine. Just ignore it. We're going to navigate down to the vector file, which is the actual shape. And here's where we can change the fill to match the brand steam of our website is this same process for things that aren't social media icons. So for example, I want to add a button here that is going to be a little envelope or something for people to click to open up a contact form. So I'm going to do that by visiting fonts.google.com slash icons. I stick to the outline versions of icons. As you can see, they're just made out of lines. But if you want, you can use the field versions which are more solid shapes are the two tone which is a solid shape on the inside and outlines. Again, I'm just sticking with outlines. I'm going to search for mail. So I could see simple envelopes here, that's quite a few. I'm going to pick this very easy and simple e-mail one. And all I have to do here is download. I don't have to change the size or the color because I could do that in Figma since this is an SVG file. So I download it, save it to my desktop or wherever, and follow the same steps of placing it as an image via shapes, Place, Image, email, icon, and again, placing into some dead space, I'm going to change the color first. So I have to do is find out where I placed here, click the vector shape and change the fill color. Go ahead and drag it. Whoops. I didn't grab the frame that I was placed in and put it right in my composition. So as you can see, I can change the size of it and not worry about getting any more or less pixelated because it is a vector shape.
