Hello and welcome to this overview of the currently among case competition. My name is Dr. Catalina tacos hands, and I'm the faculty director of the case competition. The Ketterle among case competition to be held in the spring of 2021 gets graduate student teams from Lerner the opportunity to compete by matching their skills against other teams in a professional business environment. The case competition began in 1999. Since then, teams from learner, MBA and graduate programs have competed each year to find solutions to problems presented in the case. Organizations our teams have helped range from the famous local brewery dock fish head, city of New York, the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware, and most recently, rows with farms. The format of the materials from which students develop the case has also changed quite a bit over the years. We've had traditional business cases, collections of curated materials provided by the organization, as well as cases written especially for the case competition by faculty and the focal company. In 2021, we are going to use a published case. As with any event that are quite a few people involved with making this one a success. Your learner team consists of Kim Reagan, event organizer, who is helped by room about donor and Michelle Pepe Tone, who run logistics. My name is Dr. Carolyn tacos Haynes and I'm the faculty director involved with the academic portion of the competition. The teams present the recommendations into judge droughts, preliminary round judges are all learner MBA alumni, many of whom have competed in the Charolais among Case Competition in past years and currently work in managerial positions in the mid-Atlantic region. Judges for the final round include liters of regional firms. An additional learner on my, from the outside of our region. Competing teams will be composed of three to four learner, MBA or graduate students. Ideally with a combination of functional expertise, we recommend that you form your own team. However, we're also happy to help you find a team. This is a proposed timeline which might be subject to change depending on the Kobe 19 situation in spring 2021.
