Visualizing Black Power - Print Culture, Design, and the Legacies of the Black Panther Party
The Department of Africana Studies hosts an engaging conversation about urgent issues in Black study and life. Professor Colette Gaiter and Dr. Kimberly Thomas McNair (Stanford University) will discuss their work on the photography, art, and print culture of the Black Panther Party, as well as the importance of visual culture in expressing, narrating, and memorializing Black experiences.
