Join the College of Engineering for an inaugural lecture by April Kloxin, whose research brings together biomaterials, engineering and biology to better understand disease and develop new approaches to improving human health.
In “Building Bioinspired Materials and Pathways to Impact,” Kloxin will highlight research from her group at the University of Delaware creating materials inspired by the human body. These materials help researchers investigate how cells respond to their surroundings and offer new possibilities for biomanufacturing and the development and delivery of therapies.
Kloxin will also reflect on the people and partnerships behind scientific progress — the mentors, trainees, colleagues and collaborators whose shared knowledge and creativity help move ideas from discovery toward real-world impact.
