How do we help students develop writing proficiency, when writing can feel like such a chore? In this webinar, we’ll learn about and unpack the executive functions that play a role in student writing, and which show up at all stages of the writing process. We’ll discuss how they develop over time, and what we can expect at various ages and grade levels. Participants will come away with developmentally appropriate evidence-based strategies to plan for effective writing instruction, motivate struggling writers, and deliver specific and measurable feedback to their students. By the end of this session, participants will be able to make a plan to address executive function and support students at each stage of the writing process.
