Aloha, I'm Dr. Karen Stein, faculty director for the winter 2022 study abroad to Hawaii, where we will spend three weeks in Maui, known for its 30 miles of beaches, humpback whales, and the magnificent views from Haleakalā, a dormant volcano. Maui is also a Mecca for innovation creativity, in which artists, environmental specialists, farmers, policymakers, use their leadership abilities to develop new solutions that preserve Hawaiian values and respond to modern global challenges. Open to students in all majors. Join us to meet these innovators, take excursions, and learn and practice your own leadership and teamwork behaviors. You can enroll in either LEAD 101, Global Context for Leadership, or in LEAD 300, Leadership, Innovation & Creativity. Students who've taken both classes may enroll in LEAD 367, Special Problems. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, and no matter what your major or future professional plans, you can be a better leader because of this unique experience. Mahalo.
