DAR
recognizes that there are many teams in our office who reach out to colleges,
department leads, and other units across campus to share information, as well
as to request information. We would like to provide clarity on who in DAR might
reach out to you or one of your team members, why they might reach out, the
times of year that you can always expect to hear from us (for example, around
Giving Tuesday and I Heart UD Day) and share some resources that DAR can
provide to your team (like clean data for reaching out to your alumni base).
During
the information session, representatives from the DAR teams with whom you
interact most will be present to share how they typically work with you and the
resources their team can provide.
The
teams who will be present include:
- Development Relations team – we will share the role
that we play and how we can work with your departments on engaging
prospective donors with your areas.
- Alumni Engagement – we will share information on events
(including Homecoming and Alumni Weekend), alumni boards that we run and
awards that we manage.
- Donor Relations – we will share information on
acknowledging gifts at the department/unit level and how to share the
impact of funds managed by departments with donors.
- DAR Marketing – we will share information on
solicitations, newsletters that DAR manages, I Heart UD Day and Hen
funders pages.
Whom
we suggest attend the session:
For
this information session, we have tailored the message to the Department Chairs
and their administrative teams. We envision that to include department
communicators (if you have one), Business Administrators and Chair Admins.
