Held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, the annual Delmarva Freight Summit brought together regional freight, goods movement, and economic development stakeholders to enhance awareness of major freight planning programs and initiatives; share information on significant freight and goods movement trends; and encourage public-private partnership development.
The 2021 Freight Summit featured opening remarks from DelDOT Secretary Nicole Majeski; a keynote presentation on national and regional freight trends; the kickoff of the 2022 Delaware Freight Plan development process; and opportunities to provide feedback on areas of concern and priorities to be addressed in the Delaware Freight Plan.
This event was presented by the Institute for Public Administration in partnership with the Delmarva Freight Working Group: DelDOT, the Dover/Kent County MPO, Salisbury/Wicomico MPO, and WILMAPCO.
