On October 7, 2025, the University of Delaware's M.A. in Strategic Communication welcomed UD Alum, Heather Acker, for our Fall Inside the Industry speaker series. Heather is a public affairs strategist with in-house and agency experience. She has a strong background in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies for organizations across sectors. A team player, Heather enjoys collaborating across different teams to achieve communication and business goals. Her areas of expertise include Corporate Social Responsibility, Crisis Communications, Social Media Strategy, and Media Relations. This session focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a company's voluntary efforts to operate ethically and contribute to societal well-being through initiatives like environmental protection, fair labor practices, and charitable donations.
